In my grandmother's day, they drove Model-Ts. What day was that? Why it was May 1, 1914; it was the only day she got.
Good try. Obviously day used in that context does not mean a literal day.
Genesis does not use day in that way.
Genesis 1
5: And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day
8: And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
13: And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
6 days is also mentioned twice outside of Genesis just in case someone wanted to quibble that.
Exodus 20:11
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.
Exodus 31:17
It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labour, and was refreshed.”
