Some people in choosing their favorite games need to be LESS broad. You can't love all games and every game in one series is not good. LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring was terrible, as was War of the Ring. Driv3r...hmm...NO! GTA 1 & 2 weren't that good or revolutionary but Driver 1 and 2 were. Tony Hawk games just get boring and repetitive but not as repetitive as Madden (repetitive as every game is almost the same). I love a lot of games and don't have a favorite game but won't make a fool out of myself by saying something not deserving of being a favorite is. Far Cry is a great game, possibly 2nd best FPS ever, but you can't say it is above everything if you're going by best story in a game. It has great gameplay, but nothing considered. Really, the only way to choose is a best game is to choose one in a certain category, you can't really compare Final Fantasy VII and Half-Life 2 for story or gameplay. It just doesn't make sense. Anyways, here are a list of some of my favorite games:

Half-Life 1 & 2

Final Fantasy III, VII-IX

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker

Super Mario

Metal Gear Solid

Splinter Cell (all)

Diablo 1 & 2

More but can’t really remember them. Anyways, look, your opinion of the best game is going to be different from someone else’s but if you do give, at least make guidelines because you can’t say Halo 2 has a better story than a Final Fantasy game (except X-2) but it does have better gameplay than some other games.

Best game of all time? Either EQ or UO. They have been out for over a decade and are still kicking with lots of subscribers. If I were to pick one game that I could own, I'd pick one of these and be set for life. When it comes down to cold hard cash, no games come close you must admit.

You mean when it comes to SPENDING lots of cold hard cash. $15 dollars a month (approximately) is just annoying and most of the people that still play EQ and UO are addicts. I would definitely not choose one of those to own over other more advanced MMORPGs that have come out like WOW or for hardcore gamers EQ2. Even then, I would rather play something less time consuming but still good, maybe like Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30.

Best game?

Any Civilization game. There is no question.

Best RPG? Fallout, and it's sequel. Go buy them, they're probably less than US $20 anywhere that you go. They are sold togather.

For the hell of it; the best Final Fantasy game for me is easily Final Fantasy 6(US 3). No contest.

Someone forgot about Civilization... :D

LOL I meant own as in I own the servers/company and you pay ME the $15 a month! So as old as EQ and UO are, they are the best games because they are still around and making money. Games like WoW and EQ2 are still too young and could possibly go the way of E&B or that race car MMORPG (Sorry forgot the name). Anyway it does not cost that much to play unless you just pay monthly. I don't have a prob spending $10/mo or so and saving the $50 on a new game every month because I beat it and that's all there is.

Yeah, Civ is another good one. Civ has been around for a long time and still being developed with no end in sight. I have Civ3 still on my HD here even though I'm hurting for space now. No real plans to remove Civ3 or MS Flight Sim any time soon ;)

My favourite game: Kingdom hearts (became a zombie when I first played that, I went out of my darkened room for meals and sabbath, that was all)

Favourite series: Zelda (they nailed it in both multiplayer AND single player, not many franchises do both! Hopefully, they'll nail it online with a online four swords for the DS! YEAH!)

The very first Macross saga with Rick Hunter? Yes. I do love it. Its so great!!! ^_^
Rick Hunter... Do you mean Ichijo Hikaru? That's his Japanese name. ;)

Do you remember Roy Fokker?
Do you remember love?

Ya, Macross is awesome. Where do you think I took my username from?

Check out Macross 7. If you don't mind reading English sub-titles, it's awesome. It follows the ship that Max and Miriya(Miliya) Sterling(Janius) commanded 30 years after the events of Macross. Exedore is also in it, as the advisor to Max. It's even better than the Macross saga if you ask me (just a bit!). There's a Robotech thread in the anime forum somewhere, a few pages down. You could also check out www.robotech.com if you haven't already.

The Robotech: Battlecry game wasn't too bad either! I also have Macross: Do You Remember Love? on my Japanese Sega Saturn. It's pretty cool.
