I just realized how old this thread is.

That's okay. The Beatles never get old.

My two favorite albums of theirs are Revolver and Rubber Soul. Not that I dislike their others- but there's something about those two particular albums that I love.

Revolver is an excellent album. I feel that's when the band really started to try and push boundaries and set themselves apart from your average 60s British pop band(not that they were 'average' before that album but they weren't as 'artsy' I guess.....:sorry:).

My favorite albums are the White album then Abbey Road then (at a close third, almost tied with Magical Mystery Tour) is Sgt. Pepper.:)

I have to admit though, I'm not a big fan of their older, 'Hard Day's Night'-type songs.

You're name always makes me think, "she sells sea shells, down by the seashore" ^_^

(Which is much easier to type than it is to say:D)

Actually- I think that too.

Would you believe that when I first signed up here it wouldn't let me use seashell because it had the word hell in it? It censored it out. I can actually raise one eyebrow- so I did that at the screen- it was so ridiculous.

It's a play on my real name (and nickname).

^_^ Understandably. I can raise my left but not my right. My cousin on the other hand, he's Jim Carrey, he can do both.

That's just silly, they won't let you use it as a name but you can type it out in a post. That's a bit of a double-standard if you ask me...

What do you guys think of the Beatles? They're called the greatest band ever all the time, and I apparently just don't get it. I've never heard that kind of genius in their music. Those of you who think the Beatles were really great, why do you think so?

The Beatles - defo greatest Rock group of all time.

They openly said they were influenced by the great black Rock pioneers such as Chuck Berry, Larry Williams, Muddy Waters, etc. This is something many American white Rock stars did not do in those days. Then, when they were told the audience would be racially segregated in Miami they refused to play. The Beatles donated millions of dollars to charities and influenced an entire generation of music stars. They were and will always be the greatest!
