CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

we will soon be off to eat a turkey!!! a bird, not a person!!! Going to spend part of Chr-stmas with friends, brothers and sisters in the L-rd, wonderful folk who we have become friends with because of their love for J-sus....

This is my first visit to this thread but it looks interesting. Looks like food is the current topic. I noticed the first post (like way, way long time ago) said to come to the barn raising for some shoo-fly pie. Is there any left yet? My son and his girlfriend gave me the cutest little coffeebean grinder and a wonderful bag of hazlenut coffeebeans for my birthday yesterday. So if the rest of you will share a slice of shoo-fly pie with me I'll share some of my hazlenut coffee with you. (By the way, what is shoo-fly pie?)
