The Baptist Dog?

This Baptist couple felt it important
to own a equal Baptist pet, so they
went shopping.

At the kennel specializing in this
particular breed, they found a dog they
liked quite a lot.

When they asked the dog to fetch the
BIBLE, he did it in a flash. When they
instructed him to look up Psalm 23,
he complied equally fast, using his paws
with dexterity. They were impressed,
purchased the animal, and went home.

That night they had friends over. They
were so proud of their new Baptist dog
and his major skills, they called the dog
and showed him off a little.

The friends were impressed, and asked
whether the dog was able to do any of
the usual dog tricks as well. This stopped
the couple cold, as they hadn't thought
about "normal" tricks.

"Well", they said, "Let's try it out."

Once more they called the dog, and
they clearly pronounced the command,
"Heel!"

Quick as a wink, the dog jumped up,
put his paw on the man's forehead,
closed his eyes in concentration, and
bowed his head.

They had been deceived!

He was Pentecostal!!

Oh....lamb it was just a joke. And just to show that I am capable of being lighthearted of my own religious affiliation...here's a Catholic one.

Little Leroy went to his mother demanding a new bicycle. His mother decided that he should take a look at himself and the way he acts.

She said, "Well Leroy, it isn't Christmas and we don't have the money to just go out and buy you anything you want. So why don't you write a letter to Jesus and pray for one instead."

After his temper tantrum, his mother sent him to his room. He finally sat down to write a letter to Jesus.

Dear Jesus,

I've been a good boy this year and would appreciate a new bike.

Your friend,
Leroy

Now Leroy figured that Jesus really knew what kind of boy he was (brat). So, he ripped up the letter and decided to give it another try.

Dear Jesus,

I've been an OK boy this year and want a new bicycle.

Yours truly,
Leroy

Well, Leroy knew this wasn't totally honest so he tore it up and tried again.

Dear Jesus,

I've thought about being a good boy this year and can I have a new bicycle?

Leroy

Well, Leroy looked deep down in his heart, which by the way was what his mother really wanted, and he decided to crumple up the letter and throw it in the trash can as he went running outside. He wandered aimlessly about; depressed because of the way he treated his parents, really considering his actions. He finally found himself in a Catholic Church. Leroy went inside and knelt down, looking around not knowing what he should really do.

Leroy finally got up and began to walk out the door and was looking at all the statues. All of a sudden, he grabbed a small one and ran out the door. He went home hid it under his bed and wrote this letter:

Jesus,

I've broken most of the Ten Commandments; shot spit wads in school, tore up my sister's Barbie doll and lots more. I'm desperate! I've got your mama and if you ever want to see her again give me a bike!

You know who

We are all part of the same body of Christ, whatever the denomination. I just hate all jokes that make fun of the body. When one denomination makes fun of another, another part of the body, we are really making fun of Him.

Somethings can be joked about, but never Christ or his body. :(
