  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey, I watched the Aviator in theaters and kinda liked it. The only complaint I think that I would have is it was way too long. It was 2 hours and 50 minutes!! UGGG, almost 3 hours long! I had to go to the bathroom halfway through the movie but didn't dare move because I didn't want to disrupt anyone else watching the film (theater was almost full) ^.^" Anyone else seen the flick?

Yes, my husband and I went to see it on New Year's Eve. We left early because my husband was uncomfortable sitting so long. I thought the acting was exceptional, but was very offended by the language. In the first 5 minutes, I think they said "gd" about 20 times. This continued throughout the entire movie and not only Howard Hughes' character, but every single actor/actress in the movie said "gd" at least once. It was appalling as that was the only swearing for the most part. Makes me sick.

I saw this film the other day. I thought it was an interesting film for a very interesting man - Howard Hughes. I don't know if I agree with the casting of Leo DeCapria for the role though. Although I think he did a very good job in the part - I didn't really buy him aging what was suppose to be a 20 year time frame. I thought that Katherine Hepburn was exceptional - beyond brillant. I think the film had more potential then it lived up to, but I guess there's only so much they could touch on with this man's life. Still a decent film to watch.

I watched it the other day. I thought it was a great movie with some real good acting. Leo did very well, he is a real good actor...you can hate him all you want but its the truth. It was long big deal, it had language big deal. I was happy to see that there was no graphic sex scene like many movies have nowdays. go see it. make sure you use the restroom before you go in, sit back and relax.
