Yes! I fell in love with cricket about 12 years ago when Fox Sports Net started airing ODIs. I had to learn the game by myself, but since then I've explained it to family and friends who are interested and have created a few fans.

I was very impressed with Peter Siddle. I don't get to watch often, so with very few exceptions these players are all new to me. Both teams have lost some absolute Titans of the game in the past few years, but it looks like neither side lacks good players.

It's definitely a bowler's wicket. Someone mentioned that it hadn't been watered in eight days. If tomorrow is sunnier than today was, I expect those cracks to open up even more and make batting that much harder.

Cricket is truly a great sport. Having grown up in Brooklyn NY where there are many West Indians, I learned a long time ago what a splendid sport it is. My old neighborhood, the East New York section was a hot bed of cricket in the 1900s.

Watched part of the Ashes this morning when the Brits went all out. I'm surprised the Oz men didn't score more!

Agreed. I think cricket would be so good for our inner-city youth. I'm going to try to find the article I read several years ago. The laws and the spirit of the game caused crime rates to fall in areas with cricket clubs for the young men and women to belong to.

As for today's controversy, Broad should've walked. Even if you've had a dozen bad calls against your team, it's still your integrity on the line. That said, Australia blew their reviews grasping at straws.

I watched the end of the first test and it was awesome.

Something funny happened along the way - the chat room I was in pointed out that bowler Joe Root looks a lot like Ellen Degeneres. And he does!

I'm in tears. That's priceless! Fourteen runs! I've never watched one that was any closer. Looking forward to Lord's on Thursday.

Does anyone else here like cricket? The 1st Ashes test between England and Australia started today with England bowled out for 215 but then Australia collapsed to 75-4. Looks like this may finish inside 3 days.

Look boys, cricket, football, and all those silly other games you like are what you do when you are 10! What you are supposed to do now is go shopping with your wife or girlfriend it would be fun, honestly lol,

What is this shop-ping you speak of? (I hope I'm pronouncing it correctly.)

I watched part of the Ashes this morning - it appeared as if Australia had given up even before the match began today. I have long admired Aussie athletes since the days of Rod Laver, Ken Rosewall, & Lew Hoad = all highly skilled athletes who played with great determination. Never in my long life time I have ever seen Aussies quit in a series so blatantly. Sorry to say (and I hope I'm wrong) but this has got to be the saddest week in Australian sports history. Honest now, their efforts have been utterly pathetic.
