CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was watching "Sunday Morning" yesterday on tv when they did an interview with Françoise Gilot a beautiful French painter who was also the muse/lover of Picasso. Veryyy interesting story, in my opinion and one I hadn't really heard much about. Apparently they even have two children together. And he left his one mistress for her. She was 21 and he was 61 when they met. Anyhow. I went and looked at her paintings and I truly love her style. The interview went on to say that she is now 95 and still loves to paint. And she's very feisty. 
She is still so very beautiful too.

I love watercolors!!! I also enjoy most pre-raphaelite and impressionist art.
That first painting reminds me of Anne of Green Gables when Anne is reading "Lady of Shalot"
And I absolutely love that last painting, the colors and brightness and reflections are just stunning.
I also love impressionism.

What are some art galleries or museums everyone has been to? I love art but that is the only thing is lacking, I've never been to an art museum or gallery. I would just love to go to one and stare and different paintings for as long as I want. It would be amazing.

Why do you like this particular one?
I've seen many depictions, old and modern, of the famous fight between these two warlords at the Fourth Battle of Kawanakajima. I tend to prefer older looking art.
