The British SAS (Special Air Service) are military elite. They have an expression about warfare that is rather intense!
When in battle, the number one target for the British SAS is the enemies head. A penetration to the head will cause the foe to "Drop like Liquid". This is a core mantra of the SAS. Of all places that can be struck, in battle, the head is the most effective, most rapid and safest way to guarantee a foe cannot fight back, and will not fight back.

The Helmet of Salvation is the Christians assurance that they are Heaven Bound and in the battle without fear of DEATH, EVER!
17 Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word.
Notice the level of certainty that the Helmet is real, as imparted by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9). The Word isn't a scripture or an idea, but Jesus Christ. The imparted Holy Spirit seals us to salvation. The words imparted to mankind and recorded in scripture by the Holy Spirit go to great lengths to EQUIP the saints with certainty, that they are (PRESENT TENSE, SAVED)... (Ephesians 2:8-10 ; Romans 4:1-6).
When Salvation is being questioned by an individual, the work of Satan is made manifest. Satan is going for a "Head Shot".
If a Gospel workman is led to question their own Salvation, they will cease to Fight the Battle for the souls of mankind, and begin to hide, in fear of DEATH.
There is no armor for the Christians BACK, thus a retreating soldier is good for nothing less than arrows and spears. The most common strategy of Satan and his army of demons is to attempt to destroy the Salvational assurance of good Gospel Workman.
