I do like them, but they were ridiculously hyped after their first song came out.
I have to say i do enjoy the singers sheffield accent. There's been quite alot of regional sounding bands lately; makes a change from that generic american-y sound alot of people go for. Anywho, this is off topic...

Yeah they were so hyped.. which was ironic (lead singer says 'Don't believe the hype' in IBYLGOTD video) And noo the Sheffield accent is in no way off topic!! It's almost my favourite thing about them!!! It's so cute and it makes me wanna give him a big hug

Spin Magazine has a blip about the Arctic Monkeys this month. I like their bandname, but know nothing about their music.

I gave up on Spin after they named the Killers the Band of the Year

(What exactly have they done this year?)\

Also, I do love the fact that all the newer British bands are actually singing with their accents. It's one of the main reasons I love the 'Heads

I've listened to the album during the CF downtime and it is superb - if you like that style. If you don't like the style of their singles you won't like the album as it sounds quite similar.

They are already on track to have the fastest selling album of all time (at least in the UK).

In the first day they sold over 150,000 copies - i don't know what its at now as that was a few days ago.

I have a feeling they may be headlining some major festivals this year!

The Arctic Monkeys now have the fastest selling album in UK chart history!!

They have sold more than all other albums in the top twenty combined this week!!

The Monkeys have landed!

Ooooh! My Dad just told me about them yesterday! I love them! They're one of my new favorites.
