The Arctic Monkeys - anyone a fan? Anyone even heard of them?! I heard some of their stuff last year then in December their song 'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor' hit the clubs.. they are amaaaazing!! I'm currently tryin to get tickets to any of their sold-out Scottish gigs this month on ebay. I also happen to fancy the pants off Alex, the lead singer!

Am I alone in my insanity??

Well I haven't heard the Arctic Monkeys, but I must say they have a cool name.

They are going to be THE band of 2006. At least in the UK. It's nailed on - Especially with a song like I Bet You Look Good on The Dancefloor to break them into the big time!
It's great cause there is yet another very cool brit band - and they aren't overrated!

Another band to fight the tide of X-Factor and the Crazy Frog!

It will be interesting to see what festivals they'll be playing this summer. If their album is a massive hit will they be headlining anywhere?

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Their new song is bloody brilliant as well, I think they should release Dancing Shoes though.. I mean with words like 'Put on your dancing shoes you sexy little swine' how could they fail!!

I'm going to plan my summer around any festivals they're headlining Hope they play a Glasgow gig in between times though, right now the only one mentioned is the NME awards tour which is totally sold out, I'm now willing to bid for tickets on ebay after seeing their gig on mtv2 last night though!!

i'm definately gonna give their album a listen, i like what i've heard of it so far alot. my mate is seeing them on the nme tour (with maximo park and we are scientists....jealous!)

on the upside i'm seeing razorlight next tuesday

Sorry, I wasn't addressing your tastes with my comment. I'm sure you have great taste in music. Normally when people start saying an album will be the biggest hit of a certain year, I start getting a bit queasy.

I gave them a listen when they were recommended to me as something Futureheads fans would like (Futureheads = Greatest British band of this decade {besides Radiohead } Believe dat.) and I think they're alright, some of their songs are really good and some of them sound like every other band the NME relentlessly hypes.
