I looked at the page, but didn't have time to search for the starting date. Those pages can be confusing to me sometimes.

Looks like an interesting cast. One interesting pair is a mother and daughter that don't know each other -- mother put daughter up for adoption as a baby and they only recently found each other.

Also, they've posted a video that almost hurts just to watch. It is (I assume) an early roadblock where one of the team members (team is two hostesses from the Home Shopping Network) has to launch a watermelon from a catapult and hit a suit of armor. There is a problem and, as Phil tweeted, "Don't try this at home!"

I haven't read all the bios, but I did read that one. I will love seeing how their relationship develops when they are thrown together like that!!

Have you guys seen the video CBS released? I suppose it could be a little spoilery (although I'm a spoiler nazi and I didn't think it was) so I'll just say don't watch if you don't want to know a single thing about the new season before it premieres.

However.... it's pretty funny if you have a twisted sense of humor, and pretty dramatic whether you find it funny or not.

Great first episode.

Did anyone notice the jester made a comment to the girl about getting whacked by the watermelon? I don't thik I've ever seen an actor break character before.

As far as the teams, I was surprised by the hairdresser and her boyfriend.
I like both father/child teams. I don't like the football player or the vollyball players.

At this point I don't mind any of the pairs, though the pair from Vegas seemed rather clueless. I'm not sure who you mean by the hairdresser couple, I'm guessing maybe the couple from Marina Del Rey (LA) where Jill is a hairdresser and Thomas is in advertising? I'm wondering if this year won't seem somewhat boring because there is no "villain", kind of like last fall. I have to admit, though, it is still early and lots can still happen.

I was impressed by Claire, after getting hit by the watermelon, how she was able to get back up and finish. In fact, I'm amazed how she was able to laugh about it afterward (there is an interview of Brook and Claire on the TAR website laughing about it all that appears as if it were done in the castle after this leg of the race). The first Elimination Station is also up on the website, it is located on an island in Cancun this year.

I'm excited to have TAR back and am hoping for a great season.

And curious if any others have heard the rumor (don't have any actual information, just rumor/speculation, so won't use a spoiler tag) that the next race will either be celebrities or a return of favorites from previous races? Any thoughts about the idea?

I don't think celebrities would work and I think it's too soon to do another All-Stars.

I really liked the eliminated team, up until the point they stopped showing them doing anything but driving around lost. I hoped for more from them, and I was sorry we didn't get it.

I love the story and dynamic of the bio-mom and her daughter. Wow, what a way to get to know the mother who gave you up for adoption - on the Amazing Race!! I hope to see more of them.

Love the father/son and father/daughter. Love Team Gleek. Love Claire (that's watermelon girl right?) but cannot stand her partner's screeching.

I don't think I'd like a celeb or another all-star Amazing Race right now. What I would like to see is a race of One-and-Outs. Get however many seasons of first-eliminated teams together and give them a second chance to run the race. I suspect we lost some really interesting teams too early, and they'd have a blast getting a second chance.
