No, I am talking about your theistic claims. More evasion.

I'm asking you to justify the assumptions behind your claims, or if you have already done so, to post a link to where you did so.

Can you actually do this, or can't you?

You know that I am not going to sit here and go back and forth with you on this.

If you would like to debate me then that is fine, otherwise do not ask me to go through the thousands of posts I have made to link something to you that you are not even going to take seriously.

Start with the Apologia of the Cosmos thread I made and go from there.

No, but you'll blather about anything else that takes your fancy, so what's one more topic? Oh wait, this is one of YOUR views. As I said, it's fine to demand other people justify their claims but not when the same is done to you.

If you would like to debate me then that is fine, otherwise do not ask me to go through the thousands of posts I have made to link something to you that you are not even going to take seriously.

Yup, I'm not taking seriously something I just spent a couple of dozen posts trying to get you to justify. Troll harder.

Start with the Apologia of the Cosmos thread I made and go from there.

Be more specific than that.

Would you like to debate me?

You've spent the last couple of hours evading justification of one simple point, while demanding the exact same from other people.

Why in the WORLD would I want to debate you?

Now, some post numbers for the cosmos thread where you justify A and B, perhaps? Finally? Before Christ decides to come back?

You have stated that the non-existence of ultimate meaning is only significant to those people who (a) think objective meaning is needed for life to be meaningful (b) think "what god says" is equivalent to objective meaning.

Is this your view?

I want you to justify the idea that only objective meaning can make life meaningful, and why your god's definition of meaning is necessarily objective meaning.

You want me to justify a position I do not take. Therefore I will not.

I have stated that on an atheistic view of reality, there is no ultimate meaning.

So then there is no ultimate meaning under your belief system either, so why are you criticising atheism for the same?

There is ultimate meaning in Christianity.

I certainly didn't find it. And I've been exposed to this for 20 years or so. Give or take.

Assuming there IS an ultimate meaning, which of the hundreds/thousands/whatever denominations 'has it right'?

We are talking about atheism not theism.

Under an atheistic view of reality, there is no ultimate meaning.

Under theism, the cosmos is the direct effect of a Divine Mind and Will that created life with intent and purpose. This Divine Will and Mind is what gives life meaning.

So the question is:

Does God exist?

According to whom? Some atheists might agree with this, some might not. There is nothing inherent in atheism that discredits ultimate meaning. It is entirely possible that some atheists, Buddhists for example, who do not believe in gods but feel that there is an ultimate meaning.

Why talk about it if you do not even believe in Christianity?

You would first need to accept that God exists and that He has revealed Himself in the person of His Son Jesus of Nazareth.

And besides...

I think you know perfectly well why I maintain that there is ultimate meaning in Christianity. I am sure you know what Christianity teaches about the topic and if you do not, simply read the Bible, which I am sure you have already done.
