I did, and a Jubilee year is the Fiftieth year AND the first year of the next cycle. Therefore Jubilees come every 49 years.
Re Abraham; The promise was as you say, the Covenant is as Genesis 17:1 says.

The 50th year is the 50th year after the 49 years, says Leviticus. That makes a complete Jubilee year.
Then there are 49 more after the 50th, and then another 50, making a perfect 7000 year calendar of 140 Jubilee years.
But you can believe what you wish. It is useless to argue.

It is rather important, if you do as you have and base end time dates on a wrong calculation.
point 1/ a Jubilee occurs every 49 years.
2/ The year after the 49th is the Jubilee year.
3/ that year is also the start of the next 49 year cycle.
4/ that cycle consists of 7 X 7 Sabbath years, equaling 49 years.
5/ If the 50 year was not counted as year 1 of the next cycle, the Sabbath years would become out of sync with the Jubilees.
6/ Therefore, any calculation of Jubilee's must be multiples of 49 NOT 50. A little research will confirm this truth and save you from making any further mistakes.

Also the first Jubilee was not with Adam, but at the Exodus.

The jubilie year was BOTH the fiftieth year, and the first year of the next cycle. It came every 49 years, not every fifty years. All time calculations were based on sevens because seven is the number that represents perfection.

This is exactly the same as the Sunday. It is not an extra day in a week. It is both the day after the seventh day and the first day of a new week.

Biblewriter,
I respect your salvation and your hard work with the Scriptures, but this is not at all possible for 49 to really mean 50, nor does it really mean 1.

There were 49 weeks of years, with each seventh being a Sabbath of release. Immediately following the seventh. counted and numbered week of years, there was a Jubilee, a Sabbath, of one year, so there was the special Sabbath of the Jubilee year.
The next cycle of seven year weeks of the Jubilee year not start to be counted again until the 50th normal year was complete.
God has a seventh day Sabbath counted from from the beginning of creation, but in Israel, in the Law, there are three high holy sabbaths in the year besides those seventh day sabbaths. The Feast of Unleavened bread's high holy Sabbath follows Passover day, and is on a Thursday in God's calendar, Pentecost, the 50th day from Passover, is also another high holy Sabbath, and follows the seventh day Sabbath, in God's revealed calendar. Jesus was crucified on Passover, which is Wednesday, the 4th day of the week in God's revealed calendar, and Unleavened bread high Sabbath is the 5th day of the week, in God's revealed calendar; then the regular weekly sabbath comes on the 7th day of the week. In Passover week, there are two sabbaths, with one being the very High holy one called unleavened bread.
The confusion in the western Church on the Sabbath that followed Jesus' death and burial makes a totally confused calculation of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. The day after Passover was a high holy Sabbath in the Law, and was the feast of unleavened bread: that sabbath is always on the 5th day of the week, in God's revealed calendar, and Passover is always on the 4th day of the week in God's [Enochian] revealed calendar, which Israel followed until the diaspora, when they took up Babylon's calendar, and became confused, and don't even know what day of the year it is, in God's revealed calendar, which Enoch prophesied they would do... and err, as to the days.
They made their calendar moon and sun based after the diaspora, instead of sun based, as Enoch revealed [new years begins at spring equinox, and at fall equinox [Adam was created at fall equinox time, and died at his birthday, thus the days of mourning even before the Law given to Israel were marked in ancient tribes]. There isa holy calendar and a civil calendar, and each begin with an equinox..
Every place that "new moon" is translated into English is "new month" in the Hebrew; but confusion abounds, as it does even on this plain reading of the Word about the 50th counted year after 49 weeks of years being a Jubilee.

Count "49 weeks of years", says the Scripture, then "the 50th year is a Jubilee year..." Then the count begins for the seven weeks of years, again, for next Jubilee to come after the 49th is ended, and then the 50th.

The Oracles were given only to Israel, not to the Gentile Church, and Israel was to rehearse them until each is fulfilled. There are 120 Jubilees [edit] from the prophecy God gave Noah to the New Creation... which new creation is oracled in the "8th day" after Tabernacles, and also oracled in circumcision on the 8th day, for Abraham's seed to wear in their flesh, of those who are descended through Isaac -for the promise is passed through Isaac.
The Adam spirit/nature/flesh is cut off from multiplying the Adam seed in the loins of the Adam flesh after 120 Jubilee years, which was given as a prophecy to Noah before the flood.
Israel is the name of the new creation human being flesh/nature which is oracled in God the Word, to come, when He invoked His own New Man name which was to come, over Jacob, and did it as a sign/oracle of the adoption into the New Man, one living Spirit/Christ, in the regeneration of all things. Then the Adam spirit will be no more, after the 120 Jubilees from Noah's prophecy. .....I'm researching when exactly that actually was. I'll be back.

...

Also the first Jubilee was not with Adam, but at the Exodus.
As to this, Jubilee weeks of years begin to be counted in God's Jubilee calendar of weeks of 7 years followed by each 50th year as a Jubilee. That calendar began with creation week, also. there are 140 of them from the beginning of this present creation to the regeneration in the 8th millennial day.
7,000 years has 140 Jubilee years in it. a Jubilee year is 49 weeks of 7 years and one Jubilee year to complete the total Jubilee year.
That is how I read the Word, in Leviticus: "after the 49 weeks of years, then the 50th year after 49 weeks of years is complete then there is the 50th year, the "Jubilee", which caps the total number of years in a Jubilee: 49 weeks of years, and a 50th year added after the 49. Then, after the 50th, the counting of the next 49 "seven weeks of years" is followed by a 50th counted, numbered in the calendar, Jubilee "crown" for the 49, seven year weeks..

-and as I said, argument over it is useless.

What scripture states that the jubilie year was not to be counted as the first year of the next 49 years?
The same Scripture that states that it was to be counted as the 50th year AFTER the 49 week years.
Lev 25:10,11
‘And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year...
That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you
There are exactly 140 Jubilee years from creation to the New Beginning, which is called the "8th day", in the Oracles.
That makes the 7,000 years running on another of God's heavenly calendars, from the beginning. His "clocks", so to speak, are ever running in the heavens, measuring out the days and weeks and years.
Gen 6:3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with ADAM/man [the spirit/nature of the Adam], for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
... Adam still multiplies his kind by the seed in the loins of the flesh of the male Adam, and multiplies by the command of God to do so, and by the spirit/nature of the Adam kind obeying that command. Adam still "stands", so to speak, though dead, and will until all who are to be born in Adam and given the opportunity to be cleansed by the Atonement of the Kinsman and adopted into His New Man nature have been born, in their pre-ordained season. Then, the Adam spirit will not multiply the kind by the seed of the kind, and will no longer "stand" before God.
Circumcision given to Abraham for his seed to rehearse that oracle on the 8th day after birth, is an oracle of this cutting off/the ceasing, of the multiplying of the Adam kind. That will be at the end of the 7,000 year week, at the beginning of the Great Day, that 8th Day, oracled in the 8th day after Tabernacles week.
So God said to Noah that Adam's days will be 120 "years", and that was an oracle of the 120 Jubilees equaling 6,000 years more, from the day God gave Noah that prophecy.
Edit: I'm researching when, exactly, God gave Noah that prophecy. Apparently not 120 years before flood, nor at the flood. I'll be back.

If the 49th is really the 50th, then there is NEVER a 50th AFTER the 49th, ever.
If the 50th is really the first, then the Jubilee year has been thrown out. The Jubilee years are counted as 7 weeks of 7 solar years followed by one singly counted 50th solar year.

I neither said, nor even hinted that the 49thyear is actually the fiftieth one. What I said, and what the scripture you quoted did NOT disprove, is that the fiftieth year is ALSO the first year if the next week. This is a FACT that you are ignoring in your calculations. There is no scripture anywhere that even hints at the idea that the Jubilie year was not counted in the next 49 year cycle.

Biblewriter,
Each week of the 49 weeks before the 50th year of Jubilee is seven years long. The year after the 49 counted weeks of seven years duration is followed by a one year long solar year. That is how Leviticus says to keep Jubilee year as the 50th year following the 49th weeks.
A Jubilee year is 50 solar years long, but counted as seven weeks of years followed by one solar year. Then the counting begins again.

In that last year ground could not be used to bring fruit, if that last year was included in the new cycle of 49 years then you could use your ground to bring fruit .

Lev 25:5
That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.

It's pretty clear , nothing to argue about .
God himself said it's year not years , it's 1 .

And....
Noah and sons gathered food for the one year while they would be in the Ark, but then, the year following the exit from the Ark they ate of what they had gathered, so two years in a row, they ate of what they had gathered before the flood.
And... Egypt gathered food up for seven years of famine, and ate of that gathered food for seven years, so the argument that they could not eat off the land for a second, one solar year following the 49 weeks of years completion with the 7th sabbath, stands out as a baseless argument, besides what the Word itself states

The Jubilee Year of the Bible is important to understand properly if you want to understand the Biblical Calendar, and with it Bible prophecy and what it holds for the future. But few people do. Some think it is 50 years, some 49 years. Find out the truth now:

After the Sabbath year, the Jubilee year is the only other special reoccurring year in Scripture. It is basically a week of Sabbath years, following the same pattern as the Sabbath day and Sabbath year cycles, with one difference explained below:

Leviticus 25:8-10 (HCSB) — 8 “You are to count seven sabbatic years, seven times seven years, so that the time period of the seven sabbatic years amounts to 49. 9 Then you are to sound a trumpet loudly in the seventh month, on the tenth [day] of the month; you will sound it throughout your land on the Day of Atonement. 10 You are to consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim freedom in the land for all its inhabitants. It will be your Jubilee, when each of you is to return to his property and each of you to his clan.

This confusing passage leaves you wondering if the cycle spoken of is 49 or 50 years long. Most people understand it to mean 50, but this view actually breaks Scripture: the requirement that Jubilees follow every seventh Sabbath year. A Jubilee cycle of 50 years falls out of sync with the Sabbath year cycle since 50 is not a multiple of seven. It falls at the right place for the first Jubilee but with each subsequent Jubilee cycle it drifts a year later each time. Only a Jubilee on a 49-year cycle stays in sync (7 x 7 = 49).

So why does the Bible refer to the Jubilee as a 50th year? Because the Jubilee is based on and derived directly from the Sabbath year cycle, or specifically counting seven Sabbath year cycles = 49 years. By saying to hallow the 50th year, it makes it clear that it is the year following every seventh Sabbath year. It also makes it clear that the Jubilee is not ever the same year as a Sabbath year nor is it on a separate sequence coming every 50th year. It is the 50th year counting from the last Jubilee because it is is using inclusive reckoning in its counting. If you count normally from the last Jubilee and do not include the year you are counting from, but mark it as 0, then you get 49 years between Jubilees.

This means each Jubilee is really the first year of the first Sabbath year cycle of the next Jubilee cycle. In other words, the Jubilee year does not interrupt the Sabbath year cycle, but is always followed by the second year of that Sabbath year cycle. In this way, every Sabbath year remains a multiple of seven years away from any other Sabbath year in history. Ref Tim McHyde

7500-8000 years would be about 150-160 Jubilee cycles...

According to Gematria, YHWH is numerologically associated with the numbers 15 (YH) and 16 (YW) as well as 10 (Y) and multiples thereof.

According to the LXX chronology, human history is currently in about its 7500th Scriptural year

I offer the following interpretations:

  • fourth beast (Dan 7) = pagan Roman empire
    • iron teeth & bronze claws = iron swords & bronze spears of the Legions
    • eleventh horn, different, "humbles" three others = Diocletian, whose new (1+3) Tetrarchy ended the Principate and began the despotic Dominate
    • blasphemous words = Diocletian's claimed Divinity
    • time, time, half a time = Diocletianic Persecution (~285-310 AD)
    • kingdom given to Saints = Constantine & Christian Byzantine empire
  • beastly red dragon (Rev 12) = pagan Roman empire (Dan 7)
    • red = red Legionary uniform
    • scarlet beast's blasphemous names (Rev 13) = Caesars' claimed Divinity
    • 7 heads, 5 were, 1 is, 1 will be (Rev 17) = Ceasar/Augustus/Tiberius/Caligula/Claudius, Nero, Galba
    • doomed beast as 8th king of the 7 = (Otho) Vitellius in chaotic "Year of 4 Emperors"
    • 10 horns each reigning 1 hour = succeeding imperial dynasties (e.g. Flavian, Antonine) ruling for "the rest of the Biblical Day light hours" (10/24 x 1000 ~= 400 years) from then under Nero (mid 1st century AD) to Diocletian (late 3rd century AD)
Christian Conqueror = Constantine (as physical corporeal embodiment of Prophesy)
Millennium = Christian Byzantine empire
End Times = 1453AD to present until...
LORD's Arrival = "Biblically imminent" Arrival of "The Great White Cybertron" (so to speak)

10 horns reigning for "one hour" (Rev 17:12) ~= 40 years each

Babylon's judgement came in "one hour" (Rev 18:10)

Babylon = "harlot" = anti-type of Virtuous Woman (Rev 12) symbolizing Church of Christ
Babylon = non-Christian Jewish Jerusalem = Sodom & Egypt "where their Lord was Crucified" (Rev 11:8)
Crucifixion in Jerusalem ~= 30 AD
Judgement of Jerusalem = 70 AD w
hen sacked by Titus & Vespasian
"Babylon's Judgement" came in ~40 years = "one hour"

10 hours --> 400 years
from 1st century AD ~= 500 AD

500 AD = 6000 years
from Genesis Creation (LXX) in ~5500 BC

Millennium = 500-1500 AD = Christian Byzantine Empire

"Q.E.D."
it all "lines up", making this interpretation straight-forward and self-consistent...
never-the-less, Revelations does not spell out "Jerusalem", "Constantine", "Byzantium"

No scripture says that.
That is Scripture. Leviticus.
49 weeks of years and then, after that seventh sabbath topping the 49 weeks of years years, there was the year of Jubilee.
Without that 50th, single solar year, there would be no Jubilee year, because, as an earlier poster pointed out, the 1st year of the next seven years was the beginning of the counting of the seven, sevens.
The Jubilee is the 50th, not the first of seven on a new cycle. I cannot imagine how anyone who reads the Leviticus passage can deem the 50th year as either the 49th, as someone said, or as the 1st of 49 more.
But, it is not a salvation issue, as most things are not, that are argued on this board.

There was a long ago Rabbi who knew the Jubilee was the 50th year after the 49 weeks of seven years duration. He prophesied the Jubilee of1917 and the Jubilee of 1967.
He also made a prophecy for the Jubilee of 2017, but he is not correct.....yet ; but the fact remains that he understood the Jubilee years as the 50th after the 49 weeks of years.

12th-century rabbi predicted Israel’s future

This scripture neither says nor even implies that the jubilie was not also the first week of the next 49 year cycle.
