well, believing otherwise can't and won't change that, will it ? (just seemed odd to me) I mean what good would believing other than it is do ?

Not correct - there are only 66 books in the Bible you read there are more books in other canons.

What I was verifying is that you are incorrect in your generalisation - although you may be correct in your own little portion of Christianity.

Nowhere, of course. Where does the Bible ever refer to itself? The only self-reference is "Scriptures", but it doesn't say what those are.
