I very plainly stated religion and sexuality should not be part of the curriculum. Instead our educators should focus on academics.

Health and hygiene should be taught imo, as well as art and music. Sex ed is a part of health and hygiene; kids need to know how to take care of themselves especially as they sprout into puberty.

I noticed that too.

Good for them.

Based on this reaction, it MAY seem reasonable to assume that perhaps the decision makers were 100% unaware.

I can't speak to how foolish and uninformed the group may be or how little preliminary research they chose to do before setting out their rubric with what they had.

I'm leaning more on the "they got caught out" angle because I give them enough credit. But yes, maybe I should have given them way, way, way less credit and assumed they WERE incompetent at their jobs.

It's barely a change. The non-biblical documents need to still must be bound in a durable material (so those little pocket constitutions wouldn't qualify) and the shift in the deadline barely affects availability. Any vendor other than Greenwood/Trump is going to have to find 55000 copies of the other documents in durable cover and purchase them. The delay of 1 week is rather minor. These "fixes" only barely reduce the "Trump/Greenwood grift" aspect and don't address that the schools aren't teaching this book, so they don't need them.

I'm not sure why you refer to this as a CT when the allegations have been borne out. Changing the specifications after getting called out doesn't change any facts.

There is no specification that these bibles need to be American made; the Chinese ones are fine - and specifically exempted from any tariffs (or at least they were during his administration).

Interestingly, the specifics changed when this all became public knowledge. Now the extra documents don't have to be bound into the same volume but can be separate.

"Exclusivity" was never "proved", but the description fit the Trump bible perfectly and almost no others. The conclusion that they wanted to by Trump bibles seems pretty obvious.

It's is doubtful that Trump knew anything of it or that it was coordinated. Just another XNat Trump enthusiast sending money (in this case state tax money) to Trump. Did he have some additional motive? I don't know, perhaps. Perhaps he thought he could be name Sec. Education after the election after showing his bona fides and fidelity.

Not really. Not all nefarious plots come to fruition. Just because a plan fails (this one isn’t looking good) does not mean the intent isn’t there.

The latest Russia Russia Russia scandal is that Donald sent American made covid tests to his dear friend Putin at the same time he was publicly discouraging testing here, while there was a shortage of test supplies and the two kept in close touch after Donald was voted out of office.
