I keep giving in to porn and masturbation. Its so annoying, it brings me away from God and it makes me worry about my life. I just so mad about how it can control me. Not anymore. I'm determined to not let this sin control me. I've tried so many tips and I don't know how to start. Any ideas?

I've been trying to break those chains for too many years. While we allow these sins to be our master we will be slaves to them.

I wish I knew the magic fix, or the great tip to help; I know exactly what I need to do when I feel myself slipping back into sin. I know I can call on the name of Jesus - I know I can stop, and do something else and the urges of the flesh will pass. But that's not what happens. I don't know if its the inability to commit to God or lack of faith on my part.

Here I am agian today, praying for forgiveness. Praying for strength and faith. Praying that when the test comes again I will do what is right in God's eyes. Praying to Jesus to help me break these bonds of slavery to sin. Sometimes I see it as a lack of desire on my part to do what I know is right.

God loves us unconditionally. He wants us to come to Him. I want you to know you are not alone in this fight. A greater reward awaits us then what the flesh could ever give when we follow Him.

You may find help at www.xxxchurch.com It is a site that helps christians with porn problems. They have a program that once a week will email a list of questionable sites you visited to up to 2 acountability partners.

Stop looking at porn. That's idolatry you know! Not sexual immorality ... and yet, the two are linked in God's Word.

If you have to, stop using the computer. But otherwise, get some software from xxxchurch.com that can keep porn from popping up onscreen.
