That awkward moment when you run into someone you haven't talked to in ages, and after telling you about their careers, spouses, vacations, they finally ask you what you've been up to, and you're just like:

The awkward moment when ppl think you come from an exotic far off country like china or japan but you inform them no, you are native and come from this country and no you dont speak 'asian'.

They look kinda disappointed and cant show you off to their friends. I met a foreigner! And then you contemplate telling people you are actually from outer space, but that would be lying.

But then they ask you where your parents are from instead.
Oh great. But my parents arent around to tell them where they are from so I end up having to give a history lesson.


And after that some of them dont talk to me because they are more interested in my parents. It really sucks to be native and born in the local hospital. Thats just too boring.

But it comforts me that Jesus was teased for coming from Galilee and being born in a stable. Oh but you look egyptian! Im sure im not obligated to tell people where I am from all the time and how I got to be born. My parents got married and had me. Use your imagination.

I thought of buying copies of that book called 'where did I come from' and just giving it to ppl who ask me that question.

I empathize...only for me the UPS man comes before I look like a living person....think "just rolled out of bed" look.

Oh, the early mornings would be hard! Sometimes he comes early here, but normally it is late in the day.

Lol, thanks. I'm not trying to fish for compliments, and I'm not "down on myself" or anything like that. Just recognizing that I don't "go out" like most people. I read, I write, I watch tv, I post on forums, etc. Listening to my obnoxious music loudly is exciting. I'm sure to some, that's pretty boring. But I'm not complaining.

Well now, the idea of boring can be subjective. For example, I am sure that I am very boring to some people, but for others I am not.

When you text the wrong person. Oops.

Ahh, that would be embarrassing.

I had to move my dvd rack out of my room when we rearranged a while back, it got put in my mom and dad's walk-in closet. I was in there, looking for a movie to watch when my mom and brother decided to have a private discussion about me in her room.....

I have had similar happen before, definitely awkward!

Well now, the idea of boring can be subjective. For example, I am sure that I am very boring to some people, but for others I am not.

It is only auckward if someone asks where you are from and they are from auckland as well. Shouldnt we know each other by now?

But if someone is from outside of auckland and asking and they are from i dont know,,,Huntly, its not awkward, its shameful because anyone south of the bombay hills has issues with ppl from auckland. They are like you from auckland? And then they dont talk to you because they hate aucklanders.

And you think you're alone, so you start belting out the song... And suddenly you turn around and someone was standing there listening to you for who knows how long... With a big smile on their face.

You're at the kitchen sink to do dishes, you think you're alone, so you start singing. Soon, you're headbanging, air drumming, singing back up vocals, and singing the guitar riffs, and- you turn around to find someone standing there.....
