Thanksgiving!!!

It's still pretty obvious what I am thankful for-- The fact that God kept Barb here for me, when she was walking around with blood clots in her lungs. She could have easily been ushered into the presence of God, had He not cared how badly I need her in my life.

He's brought us through a ton of stuff here lately!

For edification, inspiration, and encouragement from Christian friends I have met on line here and on one other forum. When I was a kid growing up who would have thought I would meet people from all over the world and make friends via a machine other than a telephone...my lap top is a blessing..I thank Jesus for all the friends in my little box.

I am thankful that God gave my husband 3 new disc's in his lower back which was fused together for years.

I am thankful that God provides everything for His children.

Today I am thanking God that yesterday my ten year old grand daughter beat me at chess. It is something she is very happy about (first time). Even though I lost I am thankful. Actually it is rare I do lose...just slipped up...but I think it was God's Will. Anyway, I am a happy chess player. And pleased with how it turned out.

Today I am thanking God that yesterday my ten year old grand daughter beat me at chess. It is something she is very happy about (first time). Even though I lost I am thankful. Actually it is rare I do lose...just slipped up...but I think it was God's Will. Anyway, I am a happy chess player. And pleased with how it turned out.

Now I am thankful that every once on a blue moon, I can still win a Chess-game .
I taught my daughter to play, when she was 5 yrs. young. All too soon, the table turned. Never did develop 'strategies'. Once I miss the 5-move checkmate, even with my Queen plus both Rooks, I'll still be futzin' around, trying to end the game.

These past two posts remind me of my dear Mom who taught me how to play chess. I am grateful for all of those good times playing with her so many years ago. I didn't beat her until I was almost 21...

Mom went home to be with the Lord in 1973...but my memories remain and so does my enjoyment of chess now with my grand daughter.
