  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks!!!

Great job! It seems like you are getting things squared away.
And remember, no person is too good for any other person. We are all sinners and all God's children.

Also, keep in mind the the wisdom of not being unequally yoked.
Again, good work. I am sure that you are a positive example to your brother.

Thank you! I know we are all equal from a spiritual point of view, its just that I don't feel good enough for anyone, and it doesn't look like that's going to change. I wish I could think I was good enough, but its like telling myself that something that is blue is red, it just doesn't seem possible. I'm not 100% sure what ment by unequally yoked. Anyway, thanks for your prayers!

Hi again! Congrats on your GED! Continued prayers for your brother. Study and prayer will get him through it too. Praying for peace and clarity during his studies. Regarding the girl at work, I agree, you never know who God has in store for you. I will pray that as your relationship grows with God, that your self confidence grows too. All glory is his for hearing and answering our prayers according to his will, AMEN!

Thanks, this is a really cool pic! I'm trying really hard to have hope and look at the bright side of things, but its harder then it seems. Thanks so much for your prayers!

Going to youth to hear about God, and hopefully have a good time. (something to be thankful for)
Praying God will speak to me.

NightOps, God does speak to you personally, in His Good Word of the scriptures. Everything you ever need to know is there. :)

Thanks, and I know. I made it my goal one year to read the whole Bible, and I did. I also usually read at least one verse a day. I have been in a bunch of Bible studies, and even preached at my church a couple Weeks ago. ( I didn't do that great) I've also been in a couple Bible quizzing things. So I think I know the Bible pretty well, Its just questions at the ,individual level, like what is gods will for nightops, does God want nightops to go to college, and does God want nightops to ever get married, stuff like that.

read a chapter of Proverbs a day, NightOps. Intertwined in those words is the promise that we will find favor with God and man. Reading his Word is literally like manna (spiritual bread) from heaven that feeds our souls, and we become like a tree along a river.

I'm getting ready to read Proverbs 9.

God bless you :)

Ok, I'll do that. I have read proverbs a number of times though.

Yea, I see. It's the questions we all have. Well, it certainly looks like you have a solid foundationand that you have your priorities in order.

I hope your younger brother will see and know the wisdom of your direction.

I wouldn't say I have my priorities in order, I do strive to be a good person, and to learn more about God. I know I still have a lot to learn about God, and that what I do know isn't much. I said what I said above so you would know that I strive to know God more, and try to find hope in him.

Also, my bro and I are twins, he's actually older than I am, only by a few minutes though.
;-) we were born close to twelve Weeks early, and it seems to have had a greater impact on him. Thanks!
