I've bought book at the bookstore if I procrastinate too long to order books online. Amazon.com is amazing. I usually order there if I can't find it on Ebay. I've also bought a lot of books from friends.

I did not have to buy my books. They were included in my tuition along with all of my supplies. I get a new book each time I start a new class.

I got most of my textbooks at the campus bookstore. I did find 1 text online from a former student who was selling it.

Bookstore mainly due to being too lazy to trawl the internet for a wee discount.
Generaly, I do try to see if a friend has taken the class first though often I'm the friend lending out books though since I'm one of the few that hoards them all.

I am buying mine from the bookstore.

In New Zealand, you can't just buy texts books online. The country is too small to have text books floating around on the web, except for the very popular ones. And its not like you can just import them from amazon either. Reasonable shipping costs means they take weeks to get here, and "reasonable" is still terrible.

Amazon.com, my seminary (www.rockbrigeseminary.org) has all of there textbooks for sale there for great prices

If I can find them cheaper online, I will. If not than I'll look for a used copy at the bookstore.

it really depends on the class and the cost of the book...
sometimes the bookstore, sometimes amazon, and sometimes half.com.

I always by them from the campus bookstore and then sell them to friends or others I know are taking the class or back to the bookstore (sold a few online too).

I feel it depends on how much they cost if they are to much at the campus bookstore I would get them from a friend that took the class before me.

I've been getting most via half.com lately. My book this session was $140 @ the bookstore, got it on half.com for $39. (Which is fantastic when I'm paying for it all! )
