We live in Ohio (don't kick me out just yet!) and want to move to Texas, either Houston or Dallas.
Any info about what its like there, the things, the feel of it, the good, the bad.

Dennis will tell you Dallas ... but remember it is another 5 hours to the beach from Dallas. Houston is way better.

By the way I am Canadian by birth but a Texan by temperament.

I got here as soon as I could... 19 years living in Houston and lovin' it.

Come on up here. We don't have beaches but we have lakes, and hiking and really great shopping. Btw, did anyone hear about that poll recently? Most of the Dallas residents said that our shopping was the best part of Dallas? Sounds about right to me. There's a huge Sam Moon here. I love that store. Okay, enough with the shopping, lol!

My son went to college in Cedar Hill.

I was born in Fort Worth, have always lived in the D/FW area, but if I had my druthers . . . . I'd live near some mountains.

I remember when my kids were little taking them to Austin, they were in total awe of the hills. The highest thing they had ever seen was the Ship Channel Bridge on 610.
