I think other states should pitch in, perhaps donate resources to help because this is a national problem. We have seen what jihadists have done in the Ukraine, how many will cross our border we don't know. With Central American countries also releasing prisoners that end up in the United States this is a problem that needs to be addressed now.

I think you’re misinformed on who is eligible for food stamps. In Texas, they are for people with kids and you have to be working or actively looking for work. No one is living off of food stamps.If we stopped handing out food stamps; is there a possibility that some might take jobs picking produce, rather than starving to death. Image how that would help ease the tax burden on those who are working for a living. They might see an improvement in their quality of life, not only because they could ask for higher wages in a market starving for workers; but because they wouldn't be under as much of a tax burden.

Technically an alien is any noncitizen. But since they are almost all here to work they are usually called "illegal migrants" since they tend to be "migrant workers". Very very few are people that are not here to work. And since they are willing to do the work that those who oppose their presence refuse to do their opposition to them is rather hard to understand.
