Peace of our precious Lord Jesus is upon you! This is Pastor Edward Reaz Mahamud, a persecuted Muslim convert Christian from the southern part of Bangladesh. I am a Muslim evangelism expert, theology, and university teacher. God has enabled me to take dual graduation and dual post-graduation in Islamic Studies and English Language and Literature. Also blessed me by taking a diploma in comparative religion and MTh in comparative religion with several courses from Bangladesh and abroad. As an evangelist, I work with the Peaceful Assembly of Yahweh's Remnant Ancestry Trust (PAYRA Trust). PAYRA Trust is a registered Bible-based charity organization. God is mightily using me in His Kingdom through PAYRA Trust. I have been involved with several renowned Christian gospel base organizations since 2007. I am married and have a family with a God-given wife and a beautiful kid. My wife is also from a Muslim convert family. She is helping me with the ministry work. We will serve His Kingdom until our death. It's our solid life vision.
I hope the prevailing situation in Bangladesh is not hidden from you. The government and the people of our country are fighting against terrorism which has been, indeed destroyed the peace of our land. We, the believers in Christ, need to play a role as ambassadors of the "Prince of Peace" to this hopeless world. There are approximately 170 million Muslims in Bangladesh; just over 93 percent of the population. Outreach by Christian workers in the past led to some Muslims following Christ and forming local fellowships, but we are Suffering from strong persecution and many have returned to their Islamic faith. There are now believed to be very few Muslim-background believers. However, there is a growing sense of hope and expectation among church leaders and long-term workers. Pray for more workers to go and be ready for the harvest that God is preparing. Pray for church leaders to find strength and encouragement as we work together with a fresh vision of neighbors reaching our Muslim neighbors. Pray for the few local believers to be strengthened in their faith and for their fellow Muslims to be more open to the gospel.
