 Blessed be the Lord, I did not grow up in a christian family. I had never heard a single bible verse or been part of a church. Yet the Lord sought me out. I was invited to a church and went and heard the gospel there. Many times since then , the Lord has been sovreign in my life and blessed me again and again when I would have had no idea where to even look for it and it was as if these blessings just chased me down in a way that I would call "handed to me on a silver platter." I do so much love surprises . I always have ever since I was a child.

Hey there everybody! Awesome testimonies across the board!!! :D :D :D

I might as well add mine... :)

I grew up in a Christian home. I actually prayed to recieve Christ when I was 4. We had been to backyard Bible clubs and I knew that I had lied to my parents... so I knew I needed God (even then). Thats how I came to Christ... no big turnaround from a life of drugs and sex... just pure and simple... I was young and needed God and have gotten to live in His blessings ever since (and before actually lol). Now onto the wierd stuff...

When I was 2 or 3 or both lol... I hadn't accepted Christ personally but I knew about God. My sister was supposed to be born too. Well I kept tellin my mom that "it'll be a girl and you'll name her Aimee and she'll be born on June 10th"... my b-day is in April which is where the both comes in. I did that for quite a while. They didn't do the whole US thing and find out the sex of the child... they wanted to be surprised. Well... it was a girl... they named her Aimee... and she was born June 10th. Just like I had been sayin all along lol I think I may be slightly prophetic... go figure :D

The next year when I was 4 (after I recieved Christ) I was in the living room with my mom, and I heard my brother call me from back in my parents room. I went back there and couldn't find him at all. You see my bro was at school... but I heard him call me... and then I heard him call me again... but I was too afraid to go back there again. Remember Eli and Samuel? Yeah just like that.... I believe that was God callin me.

And now here I am wishing I had gone back there yet again. I am currently waiting on God to start speaking to me in dynamic ways (which He's told others He will). And of course the dreams... I've been havin more and more dreams here lately. And the funny thing is that what happens in them seems to happen in the next couple of days. Like this one where I was playin baseball from short range with Aaron Jefferson: the next day I was invited to go to batting cages (baseball from short range) with Aaron Leddy (both are Aaron lol). And there's several other dreams, but that's all I'll share now cause this one post is really long.

God does some awesome stuff... He's a cool guy and I love Him to death

No more smilies it says otherwise there'd be one right here... or a couple. lol

Love hearing all of these "God Stories".

God talks to me in my dreams all the time. When I was little I too would tell my family things that were going to happen before they did, it use to freak them out.

I am just starting to step out in Holy Boldness with the things that he gives me now. I get a lot of visions too. HE is so AWESOME and I love to sing His Praises!

The visions that I have had have been on a personal level meant for specific individuals. I have also had a very specific vsion about my chruch. The dreams that I have are also on more of a personal level. God will show me something in a dream about certain peole. Sometimes it is something that he wants me to tell them or at times it is something that he wants me to know. Since they are usualy personal they would probably not interest others  One example that I can give you is that my career is in the Early Childhood Field. Once when i was trying to make a decision about hiring a teacher. I had been praying about it and thought that I had choosen the right individual. In a dream I was walking past the classroom that she would have been teaching in and I saw a very dark and evil figure lurking in the corner. As I apporached the figure it turned and it was her, only she was laughing a very evil kind of laugh and it was this person I had thought I was suppose to hire. I went back into prayer and decided that I was not to do it. Well about a month after this dream I discoverd through a police reportthat she had a history of child abuse and had her own child taken away from her. Praise God that he warned me through this dream and kept the children and our school safe.

Hey Erin-Joy,

That is such a cool story. The Holy Spirit is so willing to let us know things if only we are paying attention and listening.

About a week after I moved into my home I was awakend one night by someone banging on my front door. I live alone so, yes, I was a bit alarmed and I grabbed my cell phone as I approached the door.

My front door has a glass/screen door on it which was locked so I opened the front door and looked out. There was a young women begging me for help, to please call the police because a man was breaking into her car.

Her car was parked in front of the neighbors house and I wondered why, since she had been visiting them, she was not using their phone? I did see a man at her car and then he began to approach my door. Oh, she also said he had hit her and pointed to her eye.

Anyway, I closed the door and called the police. She still continued to scream and bang on my door. I opened the door again to let her know the police were on their way. She then request to come in and wait . . .now. . .there was a hesitation on my part but I don't believe I would have let her in anyway, but. . .I felt a presense next to me firmly take hold of my arm. . .much the same way a parent would as protection when walking next to their child. . .gentle, but firm. I told her NO, of course.

Later when the police showed up she took off and they could not find her or him.

I believe the Lord was taking care of me and physically gave me a confirmation. It was something that had never happend before but one I won't forget.

Wow Quaff... that's cool beans. I love hearin stories about the neat ways God protects His children :D He's so awesome.

And Erin-Joy... I understand perfectly. I know what it is to have a dream about someone and not feel that it is of need to share to anyone else but that person. :) So thank you anyways for sharin the one that you did. I think even just that simple kind of example is awesome!! :D

For the past 2 weeks I have felt my faith in God slipping. I think I was being tested. Satan entered my heart and endlessly tempted me. I found myself wanting and sometimes doing things I would have never ever done before. The whole time was a huge battle inside of me deciding if I wanted to continue following God or not. Half of me was saying I'm a teenager I should do what I want and have the fun that I want and just get recommitted later and the other half said No, that will totally ruin your witness, you weren't happy last time, that's not you. So finally on Tuesday night I decided to read through Psalms that I had underlined in the past. I came across Psalm 27:11-13 and it was like I had written that to God. It totally sunk into my heart and i prayed for forgiveness and guidance. Well the next day I still wasn't sure if all temptation and everything was gone and that night at youth group I found myself ready for it to be over. Well we were doing something called a concert of prayer that night. We sang about 4 songs then sat down. My youth leader preached a little on sins and Jesus dying on the Cross for us. It was unbelievable. It was like I never truly had heard that story before (which I have). I got the full meaning of that message. He asked us to write sins we were struggling with on a piece of paper and nail it to the cross. Instead of like two I ended up with 10. It made me really realize how off track I off gotten and how sad it is. I felt like I was taking advantage of God's dying on the cross. It brought me to complete tears and again I prayed for forgiveness and guidance. We got up to sing again and the tears were really flowing then. I felt so renewed. It was the most awesome experience! I don't think God has ever answered a prayer as strongly as He has with this one. I am proud to say I am back on track now and ready to get out their and share my faith.

WoW! Our church has service 2 x's each week. For about the past month we have not been able to get to the message at our wednesday service. The move of the Holy Spirt has been so very powerful! We stay in priase and worship all evening. Shouting, laughing, crying and dancing inthe Spirit. People are getting healed (myself included) and financial miracles are taking place. It has been so awesome. Any of you been experiencing this in your church? Lets here your story.

Now I am hearing different people say that the same wave is happening in other churches as well. That is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was scheduled to go in the hospital for test. I had been having some very bad symptoms for a long time. On Thursday I went in, this was after spending the whole time dancing in the spirit the night before. Well they could not find anything wrong and all of my symptoms are gone :D

Blessings

Just before Christmas, 2002, my dad lost his job. In March, we lost our house and car. Using an Audi (for 6 people) that my uncle gave to us, we moved into a shelter. After living in a shelter, camping (sometimes in the snow), staying at ACCESS housing, a motel, and my grandmothers, we finally fuond a house to live in. We currently are settling in and my dad has a job. I'm starting school on Thursday and God has brought us through it all, sanity intact. Without God, I think we would haveended up on the street living oout of a box, but everytime we had to leave one place, God found another for us to stay in. We found our current home just after they had lowered the rent because no one would rent it, even though the rent is more than fair. Then, after we moved here, I started looking for a job, and even though everywhere I applied at was hiring, no one called. Just after that, I found out that I could enroll in school for free and did so. Had I taken a job, I woud have needed to quit to start school. Now, i just recieved several calls. God always has perfect timing.

Today was a blessed day! I had to go to the hospital to see a neurologist about headaches I've been having for the last three weeks. I was just sitting there when this verse popped into my head: John 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease." I came home late for youth group, but I went anyway. When I walked in, that's exactly what our youth leader was talking about!! God is so faithful!! Hallelujah!!

Just wanted to come in a get a breath of freah air from some of the other post I've been reading on this forum and share this.........

My husband and i have been through alot this past 2 years concerning transportation. 2 years ago I rolled my van on icy roads on the interstate, walked away with not even a scratch but the van was totaled. Then almost exactly 1 year later i was rear ended by a fully loaded semi going about 50 miles an hour. This time the van was again totaled and i was pretty beat up. But, my injuries could have been a lot worse. 6 months after that my husband totaled his truck. By now you can see where the insurance company is getting very cautious with us. They jacked are rates way up and told us to be very careful. Not fair, since none of these accidents were our fault. Well tonight my husband was rear-ended again, HARD! The driver of the other car immediately got out and came to my husband. He barely spoke english. He just kept repeating, so sorry, no drivers license, no insurance. As my husband looked around he could see that the other drivers front end was all smashed and undrivable but when he walked around back, expecting to see a lot of damage, his car was untouched except for a small scratch in the bumper. He could not believe it. He gave God all the Glory all the way home!!!!!!!!!!! (of course after seeing that the other driver got a ride to where he needed to go)

I was asked by friends who Pastor a small church to lead worship at their church while their regular worship leader was out with surgery and recovery.

I had not led worship, playing my guitar for a very long time. I dug my guitar out of the closet (it had been there over a year), got new strings on it and began to practice.

Last night was the first night I led and things went very smoothly. As soon as I started to play and the people began to join in I began to relax.

Thank you Jesus!

That's great Quaffer! Keep at it!

I would like to share one of the many wonderful testimonies I have of what my wonderful Jesus has done for me!!!

My ex was irresponsible with our son.. My little son was only one and a half, when we divorced. (My son was left alone in a car at the age of 9 months in a bad neighborhood while my ex spent an hour inside watching tv and partying!) It was sheer panic time each time I was forced to let my ex take this small miracle from God by the courts. (I spent a lot of time in prayer for his safety.)

Now my son was about two and a half, the courts had ordered a one week period for them to 'vacation together'. My ex and his family decided on whitewater rafting down the Colorado River in Utah. (I'm told this is a very dangerous whitewater trip.)
I went to my lawyer and was told according to the law I could do nothing unless something happened to my child while on the trip!!! I was told I could not stop them or interfere in any way. I was grief stricken and began to cry out to God without ceasing. I prayed and asked Him to stop this trip. Make it too expensive or make the lawyers do something, anything!
The day arrived for my ex to take my beloved child and still no response from the Lord.......or so I thought. As I led my little two and half year old over to my ex, I began to explain I wanted this child to have on a life jacket at ALL times... My ex husband looked up at me strangely and shook his head,
"Yeah, guess we won't be whitewater rafting.... They used the boat last weekend and a rock ripped a hole in the bottom. It's such a bad hole they aren't even sure it can ever be fixed. Guess we will just be camping...."

You can bet I was praising God for His infinite wisdom and mercy!!! I hadn't even thought of His perfect solution!!! HE knew the best way to protect my baby son!!! I'm a witness, when you think things are hopeless, God will put a HOLE IN THE BOAT!!! HE has the perfect answer and often it's not even what we had thought of!

God is SO good, ALL the time!

My folks came up for a vist and we went to a local diner. It was busy and we got stuck in the smoking section. Just after us two men were seated in the next booth. They had several days of road dirt showing and both were chain smokers. As they took their seats they started talking, nothing unusual except that they said nothing but to accuse the 'church*' of whoredom. And in a constant and militant manner. They were not overly loud but their speach had a strange quality, not unlike the guy who talks to himself at eh bus stop. It seemed they wished not to address anyone but be heard by all. And always,,'the church is a harlot' this and that is going to happen,,, and the billowing cigarette smoke...

I was about to get another table, I couldnt see putting up with this and trying to relax and eat with the folks. I waited to get the gal's attention when she brought the dark brothers their coffee. Dad stopped me. ' We'll just praise the Lord" he said quietly. He and Mom began softly offering praise . I was facing the dark brothers and as figgetty as they were when they came in, I could see their anxiety level rise. The sofly spoken praise continued.
In a few minutes the gal came back to get the dinner order from the dark brothers. With out even finishing their coffee thay abruptly got up and left.

Take care

Hitch
