CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's just a hunch based on what I read in the reports about what happened. The rioters broke away and threatened the main group of protestors, painted "Abolish Schools," "End CIV," and "ACAB," which are accelerationists ideologies. They also vandalized a Tesla and a Starbucks which are associated with the left.

You'll probably be hearing about Jan. 6th even more now. It's the ultimate distraction to keep our minds off of what's currently going on. A year and a half ago is SO much more important than the violence of the present day.

Maybe they suspect it was faulty wiring that caused the fire, just after spray painting the terroristic message on the outside of the building. Can't rule anything out!

I quite frankly don't understand this violence and protests in places like NY. People are so ignorant or just plain dumb.
This ruling did not ban abortions. States can still have them. And NY certainly hasnt and won't ban them. They are protesting and causing trouble for no reason. Go protest in states where abortion is banned.
