Tim, I'm sleepless in Cincinnati.

And Ken Griffey, Jr. came to Cincinnati from Seattle.

I think that there is a pun or something in the previous sentence.

Anyway, speaking of Ken Griffey, Jr., the baseball is good again in Cincinnati.

Yesterday someone pointed out to me that the Reds have won nine straight World Series games. If I recall correctly, Willtor is a Red Sox fan. Therefore, Willtor might not like to be reminded of what I am about to say. The Reds' winning streak in World Series games goes back to Game 7 of the 1975 World Series.

Speaking of sleep, I don't have time to get any. I worked until 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning and then had to be back at work at 10:00 a.m. My split shift Sunday afternoon and evening ended at 11:30 p.m., and then I had to be back at work at 8:00 a.m. Monday!

Sleep? What is sleep?

Ack! Curse of the Bambino! It was the curse! How else can you explain it?! It was so close! So close! After all that work in game 6!

It could be worse. You could be a University of Kentucky football fan.

If anybody tells you that Chicago Cubs fans are the longest suffering fans in the world of sports, don't believe it. The longest suffering fans in the world of sports are University of Kentucky football fans. Couldn't even get a win over Tennessee last season when Tennessee was having a bad year.

Speaking of the University of Kentucky, how about an update on [post=23782262]this post[/post]. Today I heard that UK is ranked 4th in the latest poll. And they have clinched 1st place in the SEC East division. The UK baseball team might make it to the College World Series before the football team puts together another championship season. Did I mention that UK football fans are the longest suffering fans in the world of sports?

I am kind of OCD about germs at times. But that may be why I haven't been sick in a long, long time (hopefully I did not just jinx myself by saying that).

Wait a minute. Are you saying that you actually wash your hands?

I thought that I was the only person who washes his hands.

Tim, car batteries are generally overpriced and a "bait-and-switch". They say it'll cost $60, but when everything's said and done it costs $85.

Oh, and teachers who don't know anything about the subject they're teaching are amusing, but only if you already know a lot about the subject.

Tim, when you buy a computer from Dell and try to use their ghosted system disk, if there's even the smallest scratch on the disk, it won't work.

If the kids in the neighborhood come to my door trying to sell magazine subscriptions again I will remember to get a subscription to Consumer Reports for you.

I don't think that Consumer Reports rates teachers, though. Maybe I'll get a subscription to U.S. News & World Report for myself and loan you the college guide issue.

Tim, for the first time in my life, I just burned Ramen Noodles........and yes, I still ate them.

I once burned--charred--two turkey drumsticks in a slow cooker. And the owner's manual said that it is impossible to burn food in the slow cooker.

Am I a genius or did I simply finally figure out what everybody else knew? Before cooking ramen noodles I crush them while they are still in the package.

But remember, I burned food in an appliance that the manufacturer said it is impossible to burn food with. So you might want to avoid trying anything that I suggest for the kitchen.

Nah, it's okay, I'm going to make sure to research the heck out of the next car part I purchase.

And I've enjoyed having a terrible teacher in this class, it's good because I get to be the local "support" guy that everyone goes to when their software starts acting up. :D Which is what the teacher is supposed to do....

But thanks for the thought.
