I read a lot of true crime.

I love watching shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, American Horror Story, Charmed, etc...

Currently watching Bates Motel season 2 and may finish up the series of friends after I finish that season.

Side note: Ed Gein, the man that Norman Bates, Buffalo Bill and Leatherface are all based on, actually grew up next to my high school girl's golf coach.

I don't remember calling you a liberal. Perhaps I did once, but I don't remember. Anyway, about political labels. I'm considered a hard right-winger by liberals just for being against abortion, euthanasia, and so-called "same-sex marriage." If I agreed with liberals on everything else they would still consider me that way just because of those few issues. In reality, I'm no more to the right than the Catholic Church since I'm for whatever the Catholic Church is for and against whatever the Catholic Church is against. And the Catholic Church transcends American politics.

Here are some things about me that don't fit the stereotype:

  • I love trees. I planted one a long time ago.
  • I'm moderate on the immigration issue.
  • I'm not much above the poverty line.
  • I'm married to a Mexican woman.
  • I'm of African American descent.
  • I separate plastics for recycling.
  • I love animals, especially dogs.

Thank you for this inspiring quote :)

I'm a vegetarian yet LOVE to go shooting. Just got a Mini 14 and a Springfield XD 45 recently. I enjoy shooting targets, clay pigeons, etc. but detest cruelty to animals or hunting.

I'm probably the only person in the U.S. who feels this way! ^_^:p

Crazy conspiracy or fact This has been factually proven by a professor Walter veith. https://youtu.be/7NbSqcD2Dtw Ok there is my contribution to the thread :)

Oh I doubt that! I like to shoot but not hunt.

I'm a classic video game (1980's) geek. I think the NES was the best classic video gaming system. I just checked, and a new one is going for $900 on Amazon. It's worth more than a Super Nintendo.

Funny you should bring this up, LWU! I busted out my NES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo for my kids recently. We bought new adapters and got everything going! We're playing Super Mario, Castlevania, Contra, Trojan, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Golden Axe 2 and heaps of other games. I was a fierce fan of those classic systems as a kid! I never went past Super NES. I hated the systems that followed.

Good stuff, man! You're not alone!

I remember Intelivision!! I played Frogger on it with a buddy. You're right about it not catching on. I feel like Sega was the same thing!! Sega was awesome, but they only sold them at Montgomery Ward and Sears, so it wasn't as popular as NES. I loved Sega! In some ways it was superior to Nintendo. I owned both--the perk for being an only child!! 😛😛😛

We had Intelevision, it was awesome but never caught on like the Atari 2600 did. I felt it was a superior system. By the time I got an NES the SNES was already out. I didn't get a new system until the Wii and now the PS4.

I was 20 or 21, I think. First a giant thing, then quickly on to an Einstein PCS which was pretty awesome at the time. Texting!

Something tells me that wasn't unusual for your generation though. ^_^

No, it wasn't. When I was in highschool, the super techy kids and the drug dealers (I was neither) had pagers.

My first cell phone met its end in Lake Michigan on the 4th of July, along with a fresh pack of cigarettes, when I decided that wading into the water to expel a gallon or so of beer was a better option than walking to the bathroom.
