Sorry, that post was confusing. The eastern and oriental orthodox churches split over christology. I would tend to agree with miaphysite traditions. There was ealier spilt with Nestorious over the term for Mary, christotokos or theotokos.

Yes, I believe Christ is God (Mathhew 16:16)

I just noticed but Christotokos is not used in the non-chalcedonian churches. It's used by the Church of the East.

My Christianity is based on the real Jesus and being His follower & disciple of Christ. I completed Orthodoxy instruction & chrismation but some months after than I found I was free to visit any particular church I wanted. Also studied Catholicism among other things + plus church history. Simply put, you take the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels and apply them to your daily lifestyle.
