i have braces. on a few of my teeth in the front, plaque has worn away the enamel and left a bright white streak on them. the orthodontist says its permanent. im wondering if bleaching it or something would help? anybody kno?

No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is why i totally suggest invisiline it takes longer but you cant see the braces nor do they wear away your teeth. But if you bleach think about it the rest of your teeth will get whiter but so will the white spot so unless you get porcelians there is no way to get them back.

Hmmm, I really don't know. My sister used to wear braces. Are the new invisiline things more expensive than braces? I am interested in it because I have crooked teeth that have never been corrected and would like to get them taken care of.

Unfortunately it is most likely permanent. I had braces for 4 years. I have a few marks on my teeth that never went away, but overall I was fortunate.

I had braces for a few years to, but I was also one of the fortunate ones as I didn't get any lasting marks. Of course my orthod scared me into scrubbing them with special brushes etc. by relating horror stories 
I'm not sure, but maybe some whitening jell would do the trick?

im just scared of what my teeth will look like after the braces get taken off. if the tooth color is all nasty then i think i'd have rather not even have gotten braces and had pretty colored teeth and an overbite. im scared.

my orthodontist is simply intent on scaring me into taking really really good care of my teeth from now on. he wouldnt tell me if there was a way to make it look not so strange cuz then he thinks i'd like never brush my teeth. i was just wonderng if anybody else had the problem or knew what to do about it

I have braces-and I would brush my teeth 3x a day..but I'm in school in the afternoon, and it's just gross to brush my teeth at skl. [I like my own germs and space when brushing my teeth]

i have braces as well and i'm afraid of having white marks when they come off. i told my dentist about my concern and she told me that after i brush my teeth, i should brush them again with a bit of baking soda- let's hope it works!

Baking Soda does work even though it kinda tastes gross!!!!! I have white marks from having penicillin (panadol) as a kid n stuff. Yes I did have braces as well and I don't like the marks but just smile your beautiful with straight teeth it doesn't matter if they hav a little stain u will get ova it! !
Just brush ur teeth so the food doesn't get caught round the braces and corrode at your teeth ! (Mi othodontist told me that!)

Drinks coffee past midnight
I never had white marks when my braces came off and I brushed my teeth like your typical 10 to 12 year old... BUT I wasn't smoking back then or drinking red wine or black coffee or tons of sodas which could have stained my otherwise naturally white teeth. I concur with the baking soda and also add some hydrogen peroxide to make it a paste...then do it every other day or so if you typically drink or eat things that can cause staining. [Or smoke.]
