Lyn came down the stairs and turned the corner. She could hear the commotion stirring down the other hall. She quickly took a roundabout way toward the offices. Glancing quickly into one of the windows, she could see the two receptionists, one sitting and one standing, talking to each other in hushed tones as one of them pointed to her computer screen now and then. One of the doors was open within the office and Lyn could see a high-level professor standing while talking on his phone and gesturing toward his computer screen. She wanted to know who he was talking to and what he was saying, but unlike regular schools, students weren't allowed in unless they had an escort...aka they were in trouble. Lyn heard a noise and turned to see three guards running down the hall from where she came.
She stood there for a moment, watching them go, thinking. Then she took off down a different hall, hoping everyone would be distracted enough that she could take a couple of shortcuts.
Thankfully they were, especially the teachers. "Distractions..." Lyn thought as her mind went in a flurry of directions. She kept running until she turned down the hall and saw Chase trapped by two ticked-off, high-level girls, one being Liz. Sticking her fingers in her mouth, she whistled, then pointed down a different hall and sternly informed everyone, "Guards!" She knew that Chase wouldn't be the only one killed if they were caught fighting in the dormatory hallways.
Lyn took a few steps backwards from the scene, not wanting to be part of it, but not wanting anyone else to get hurt or in trouble. All she could do was watch and see what would happen.
