Why did God give us tears
Some of us have more others
Perhaps to show love and fear
Are they stored in a place way down deep
Or where they placed in a spot near the heart
To use when we find a love that we want to keep
Why did God give us tears
Some of us shed more than others
Perhaps enough to last the years
Tears of sadness, happiness and love
They all come from the heart
Another gift from God above
