Teaching Evolution in the schools

Smilin,

I did not mean to say that you somehow are purposely degrading the qualities of your children's education.  I was simply responding to your statement that you would teach your children that they came from Adam and Eve, and not from apes.

Of course your beliefs are your choice.  So one aspect of your beliefs runs slightly contrary to overwhelming scientific evidence.  That is no reason not to allow yourself or your children to learn.  I know many, many Christians who study evolution with no problems.  In the absence of any other reasonable ways to explain speciation, extinction, and other events of the sort, evolution continues to prevail as the best theory for describing these occurances.

You mentioned earlier the "earth-centered-theory" and such, and compared evolution to this theory.  Smilin, *you* are the one who should be compared to the earth-is-the-center believers.  You will not acknowledge modern scientific findings because of your religion, and even go so far as to say you will not have your children learn these things either, because of your religion.  Back then the people like you would not acknowledge the sun as the center, but we all know now how ridiculous they were being.

LOL..
It's been quite entertaining, but I must head off
for today. We'll continue this wrasslin match tomorrow..lol..

Overwhelming scientific evidence?
I'm not discounting evolution occurs.
Extinction, selective breeding, and the
like prove forms of the theory.

Species to species evolution is still
to be questioned.

Ah...he's leaving! Without addressing his misstatements about Einstein, his confusion about the scientific theory, or the two links I gave him way back at the beginning that he someone hasn't had time to even glance at.

Why am I not surprised? All hat, no cattle.

As for "questioning the conclusions". *snort*. You've proven you don't know the evidence, you don't understand the method, and yet you think you're capable of critiquing the conclusions? With what? Magical ignorance?

To amuse, irritate and solicit uncontrollable
laughter from unsuspecting people is a
favorite past time of mine Morat.

LOL...bash away if it makes you feel better.
I'm used to it.

Last post for today, I promise...

But..here we go with the math thing again....
sigghhhh......staring down your nose
at me assuming things. You're math analogy
is quite accurate. Yet you shoulda said
someone who studied the bible and christianity,
found that faith in God does produce positive results
and decided that the evolutionists teachings that
we are descendants of one celled sea organisms
garbage. LOL...I'm very fond of math actually,
enjoy using it, teaching it, and creating models with it.
(The calculus thinggyy....puuullleeaasseee)
Stubborn? yes, I am...

Morat, I'm glad you love looking down on me...
The view from the ground is much more relaxing.

Ah, so you're a troll. Color me surprised. Really. I'm shocked. See?

Stubborn? yes, I am...

  So, let's see.

1) You refuse to discuss the list of speciation events given to you after asserting that no such events occured.

2) You refuse to list the things "proven" in science after asserting things are.

How many more incorrect, false, or deceptive things do you plan to say, be shown wrong, and then drop in favor of something else?

LOL morat...I haven't reviewed the links you gave
me yet...calm down..chill and we'll discuss more later.

Oh yeah...science has proven that if I throw you out
of an airplane cruising at 30,000 feet you will
accelerate towards the earth according to the
gravitational constant. No matter how many
times we repeat the experiment, the same
results will occur. Thus Newton's Law

Hadn't you heard? Newton was wrong. Einstein showed that 8 decades ago. The Law of Gravity is just a low mass, low speed approximation of relativity. And relativity we know to be insufficient in it's own right.

That's not "proof". It's especially amusing that Newton's Law of Gravity was shown to be wrong, and replaced by a mere theory. Relativity.

  Try again.
