Other than Christianity in General, what is the most important thing you can teach a child?

If you teach a child to love, it is like putting the best fertilizer on your garden. It will assure a loving and successful adult.

The value of working hard if you want something. I learned this because I never got an allowance, I got money once and a while when I realy needed it or asked for it very politely when I needed or wanted something, and then it was never more than I needed, and sometimes I had to use my own money to help out. But if I had not been doing work around the house like i was supposed to, i never got the money.
