  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm not so sure I'd want a permanent drawing of a 'little fella pointing at the plane' on my body. Sure it might look cool at first, but the novelty is bound to wear off.

I, once saw a girl, who had two ice creams tattooed on the back of her calves. I'm betting she's going to regret that decision one of these days.:D

I know I won't regret mine. Why would I regret "passion" symbolizing the suffering that Christ endured for me. Or the other ones? They are so light that if I regreted them one day I could easily get them removed or covered up!

I know that I'm not going to get anything stupid or silly like ice cream cones. lol. I think mine through for a looooong time that way I know I won't regret it.

I think that if they mean something to you and you've thought long a hard about it, that you won't regret them.

I didn't think long about mine, but I don't necessarily regret it, either.

As for ice creams, I just don't think food is necessarily the smartest way to go when it comes to tattoos...but I could be wrong.

And you're probably right. That's what makes some people better suited for tattoos than others.

Personally, even if I really liked it, I might regret getting a tattoo... no matter what it is. I have a tendency to second-guess aesthetic things. That's the reason I haven't gotten one.

Of course, my decision may change in the future. People do that. In fact, one of my older sisters got her first tattoo at 42!

My aunt got her first tattoo when she was 50!

I think they are cool at any age.

I was doing my clinical at a nursing home and one of my clients was in her late 60's and needed care because of a stroke and she had like 5 tattoos. She was telling me about each one and when she got them. I thought they were really cool! Each one told a story.

But you're right. They are for some people and they aren't for others.
