Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I personally don't have any but if someone else did that cool. Just keep in mind the type of job you want in the future. I have a male co-worker that can not wear short sleeve shirts to work during the summer because he has tats all up and down his arm. So you've been warned!

I had one done on my back at 21-- I was seeking attention and looking to be different.

I was not saved at the time and now I beleive that that is disrespecting ones body.

I am glad mine is hidden-- my son noticed it for the first time a few days ago.

I must say that moment was like one of those " what was I thinking"

I have a tat, and I don't really have any conviction about it. My body is just a temporary vehicle for my soul, so when I die that tattoo is just dust in the wind. I don't think Christ loves me any less due to a piece of body art.

It's like if I went to a country where the language was unfamiliar to me, how could I be affective at reaching that country for Christ. So for me personally, body art, peircings, music(hip-hop, rock, country, electronica) and the lifestyles associated with all that, is a language that people speak. In my own heart I feel Christ leading me to certain types of people to reach them. The best way for me to do that is to speak their language.

I like it, because it's not black or dark. haven't even thought of something like that when I got my tatoo (though I'm happy with mine). what color is it anyway?

I wouldn't get any tattoos myself but I don't see a problem with a few small tattoos. I've seen people with tattoos all over which kind of turns me off.

I don't think there's anything Biblically wrong with tattoos. The verse in Leviticus is speaking of cultural practices and really isn't relevant today. No mention in the New Testament of tattoos.

Thanks! I like it too. It's white ink.

That picture was taken when it was only a few hours old, so it was still pink.

But once the redness goes away and it sets into the skin, it will be white.

I think they are cool. It just depends how tastefully they are. Yes, there is a thing as too many tattoos.
I plan on getting one soon. I'm going to get a 'Superman' tattoo in memory of Christopher Reeve, the real Superman.

I hope you post another pic after it heals. With all the red around it, it's hard to imagine what it will look like without that outline. :)

I like tattoos, but I am both too fickle and too afraid of needles to get one. I appreciate them on other people, thouh.

And... maybe it's because I live in S. Ca, but are there really still jobs where you can't have visible tattoos? I know it was an issue when I was applying for a job in Japan, but I thought we were over that. In my case, anyway, I'm one of the few people I know without a tattoo, and all those people are gainfully employed even though their tattoos are visible.

I'll post a picture after it heals. It might take a few weeks for the redness to go away.

I live in Cali too and the only jobs that I think you can't have tattoos showing are like at a law office or something. It's not a big deal around here either.

The redness has gone down but I do need to get a few spots touched up. I'll post it when it's healed after it gets re-done. I have an appointment tomorrow for another one so I'll have her touch up the words then.

Here's a picture of the one I'm going to get tomorrow. It's the word, "Passion" in Aramaic.

What do you think?
