I got a tattoo and the day after I went w/ my sister to get one. Her's has been through 4 treatments to get it removed and is just a small shadow you can hardly tell was once a tattoo at this point.

In the future I wish to do the same ... and mine is in a place that doesn't show when wearing a bathing suit.

I don't want my future children asking me about it or wanting one, and I want to lead by example. BT also did a nice outline of another main reason that I'll be getting rid of it one day.

I don't recommend getting one... I'd even discourage getting one... however as someone here did say... it's between you and God... I'm not here to change anyone's mind or make them feel badly.. just giving my $.02

The Bible does not say it is wrong to get tatoos. The one verse about it in the OT is talking about the pagan practice of cutting the skin in worship of pagan Gods. That is certainly not what Christians do when they get cross tatoos.

Oh well, we are all entitled to our own opinion. I think I will duck out of this conversation before my blood starts to boil. LOLOLOL

God Bless,

I really do not like the idea of tattoos. As someone pointed out, it does speak against it in the Bible and I agree with that. I think that if God intended us to have tattoos, He would not have forbade making those types of markings on the flesh. I also think that there just isn't something natural about injecting ink permanently into your body (and over time they CAN fade, so wear does it actually go--if it doesn't come OUT, that probably means it goes IN.) However, ultimately the decision will be yours alone. Make it wisely--don't do something so painful that you will regreat two days later..... Just my 2 cents.... God bless!
