I think those who reject Christ are hostile towards him and especially his church, so their testimony probably isn't particularly accurate. They put themself in the state of mind about how horrible it was to put up a wall to keep from being drawn back to Christ.

In the past God transformed me into something vile so He could reach out to a satanist spiritually.

When they returned to the faith, they cut off contact, but my original spiritual form started returning after that.
