Not until they are convicted . . . and where is public bathroom sex illegal?
I'd be interested to know. I'm looking for a safe vacation spot for my family.

I would think "public" is the key word here. :) Hopefully, anyway. ;)

No, it's not just a cover story. There's a subculture in the gay community based around anonymous sex in bathrooms, and foot tapping is one of the signals. Having your foot nudged is another one.

I don't know how the guy didn't know it was a kid in the next stall, though.

Is there a gay organization you can link me to that decries (objects) to this kind of behavior? Honestly, I have NEVER seen any part of the gay community complain about this kind of behavior.

Ahhhgggghhhh.

Not in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Googled Mayor Naugle did you? He was called a homophobe by the gay community for wanting bathroom sex to halt. Go ahead, do the research.

No, he was called a homophobe because he only wanted homosexual sex acts in public bathrooms to stop. If he had stated he wanted bathroom sex to halt without singling out homosexuals he wouldn't have had the problem. Especially since per the Ft. Lauderdale police gay sex is not a problem in public restrooms. Police Sgt. Frank Sousa stated, "There's no evidence, no reports or arrests made for any men having sex in any restrooms."

In fact, Mayor Naugle is not just being criticized by gays but was even blasted by the Broward County Commission, with every county commisioner uniting in chastizing Naugle, using words such as "bigoted and despicable". The Mayor of Broward County stating: "It gets as pretty close to a censure as you can get under the circumstances. Mayor Naugle's comments were his comments and did not represent the county or the Convention & Visitors Bureau or, I believe, the sentiment of more than the majority of the citizens of Broward."

There are Co-Ed bathrooms in F-L?

If he had stated he wanted bathroom sex to halt without singling out homosexuals he wouldn't have had the problem.

But it is a practice of gay life is it not?

Who the is going to report a crime like that (if it is even a crime)? You walk in on that and you take off pronto! And what Cop is going to do duty in a bathroom?

In fact, Mayor Naugle is not just being criticized by gays

C'mon now.

. . . but was even blasted by the Broward County Commission, with every county commisioner uniting in chastizing Naugle, using words such as "bigoted and despicable".

As millions of dollars flew out of their eyes and coffers! Talk about reasons to be upset at Naugle.

The Mayor of Broward County stating: "It gets as pretty close to a censure as you can get under the circumstances.

That's re-elction rhetoric.

Mayor Naugle's comments were his comments and did not represent the county or the Convention & Visitors Bureau or, I believe, the sentiment of more than the majority of the citizens of Broward."

Naugle's comments echo'd that of thousands of constituents.

Do they really need to? Do you go around posting public apologies every time someone in a group you belong to does something you disagree with? When that black guy was dragged to death behind a truck in Texas by two whites, it was a horrific crime, but it has nothing to do with me so I didn't run around apologizing to every black person I saw for it.

Man and woman decide to have sex.

Man and woman walk into men's (maybe women's, depending upon which is empty) bathroom, and have sex.

The fact it is 'men's only' does not stop a woman from entering.

...snip....

Was just remembering that In California, in some of the malls there are "Family" restrooms (Both Men & Women can use them, but they're 1-2 stalls)
They are their for the parents to take their kids so if the Father is with the daughter or Mother with the Son they can use the restroom without security issues.

And how often do you think that happens? I've lived in major gay populated areas I was a bit of a frisky rock musician as literal as that lifestyle declares. There is no secret codes to hookup in bathrooms for men and women.

I just tried to lookup the gay slang for bathroom hookups but didn't like what I had to wade through to do it.

But obviously its so prevelant that cops need to curb it by going undercover in some places.

Sure there are. I'm sure there are plenty of places where the restroom is designed for one person at a time and, as such, the bathroom is co-ed. Further, as was pointed out, just because a bathroom is marked "mens" does not mean a woman will not enter. There are plenty of examples of heterosexual sex happening in restrooms (regardless of if they are mens, womens, or both).

But it is a practice of gay life is it not?

No, it isn't. I'm sure there are gays that do have sex in a restroom, just like there are heterosexuals that have sex in restrooms. Hoever, the fact that some do have sex in restrooms (regardless of if it is heterosexuals or homosexuals having sex) does not make it a practice of either sexual orientation. The fact remains that most gays, just like most heterosexuals, do not have sex in restrooms.

Who the is going to report a crime like that (if it is even a crime)? You walk in on that and you take off pronto! And what Cop is going to do duty in a bathroom?

Lots of people would, and do. I can imagine plenty of families would be complaining to the police if they found people having sex in the bathrooms at the beach or in the park. Besides, if it is such a problem wouldn't the police be sending officers in to ensure no sex is going on (as they do with other areas crimes are being committed)?

C'mon now.

As millions of dollars flew out of their eyes and coffers! Talk about reasons to be upset at Naugle.

You contradict yourself here. If there were really thousands of constituents that agreed with Naugle, as you claim, then wouldn't the re-election rhetoric be to support Naugle? Instead, all nine (I beleve was the number) of county commissioners basically voted to censure him and signed letters calling him a bigot -- and you can't tell me some of those county commissioners would not be part of the "thousands" that support Naugle (if they really existed).

Instead, all the evidence is that there is no problem of gays having sex in bathrooms (as Naugle falsely claimed) and that the vast majority in Ft. Lauderdale disapproved of his statements.

There are no codes and tapping signs for straight people. This exists in only one culture.

Obviously Naugle was alerted to a gay sex problem. He's a politician.

They arrested a congressman. Obviously it's common and a problem.

In Florida they exist. But being shouted down, they are quiet.

Instead, all the evidence is that there is no problem of gays having sex in bathrooms (as Naugle falsely claimed) and that the vast majority in Ft. Lauderdale disapproved of his statements.

I'm a straight female, and I have had straight sex with a male in both the mens and womens room. Though I would have to say that women's is usually nicer--more stalls and usually less smellier.

Of course there is no secert signal for male/female hook up. Usually I would just come out and ask the guy to meet me in the bathroom. I guess the only "secert" signal would be if the guy was a bit nervous about being in the women's room I would go in and check it out first.

Fascinating.

I guess I better quit tapping the floor when I've got my Mary Jane's on and I'm in a public restroom. I've always like the way dress shoes sound on floors.

No one calls it heterophobia to demand that men and women stay out of public bathrooms for boffing.

Can you find where anyone has asked men and women to refrain from having sex in bathrooms.

There are no codes and tapping signs for straight people. This exists in only one culture.

Yes, and it isn't the gay culture. As others here have explained, it is a culture that either is or pretends to be heterosexual while liking to have illicit sex with other men. Former Sen. Craig, who still insists he is heterosexual and remains married is a prime example.

Obviously Naugle was alerted to a gay sex problem. He's a politician.

Why "obviously"? I've heard him claim it was a problem but he hasn't given any evidence or even claimed he was "alerted" to the problem, nor has anyone else provided any evidence it was a problem in Ft. Lauderdale. Rather, all the evidence points to the fact that it was not occurring there.

They arrested a congressman. Obviously it's common and a problem.

They said it was a problem in the Minneapolis airport. I've not heard of it being a common problem -- you'd think if it were we'd hear a lot more about it rather than just in one airport.

And be screamed at by activists? C'mon now.

In Florida they exist. But being shouted down, they are quiet.

This still doesn't explain it. Plenty of people in California were "shouted down" but it didn't stop politicians from taking positions against those doing the shouting. If nothing else, you'd think that these county commissioners would have been voted out last election for calling someone they respected a bigot. Rather, it is Naugle out of office.

After the GLBT community became active in protesting this man.

No, there was no evidence that gays were having sex in Ft. Lauderdale bathrooms prior to his making his statements, either.

Well, they arrested some guy for showing off his family jewels to a young boy in a Macy's restroom. The guy said that he heard tapping in the next stall and so he got down on his knees and showed off what he had to the person in the next stall, which happened to be a young boy. The kid ran out of the restroom and the rest is another story... Happened just within the last few days ago in Pennsy. They found the guy yesterday.

Is it moral or ethical for homosexuals to display their wares to see what happens next?

He must have been jolly limber to be able to display his, erm, equipment under a stall. Unless the gap under the stalls at Macy's are knee high....
Is there a link to the story? (Appologies if it's already been posted.)
