well, ive rarely heard the clear and almost audible voice of god, only once actually.
and ive learned this.
that everything in your christian life flows from your secret place.
how much are you reading? how much are you praying? do you ever fast?
a woman of God once said
"you cannot spend quality time with God, without hearing his voice"
many times when people in the bible wanted a miracle or wanted anything from god, simply in need, they fasted.
and they took that time and used it for more prayer and time in the secret place.
if you need something, maybe to just hear his voice.
fast, pray more, read your bible more, spend more time with him.
its not all about hearing a voice from heavon, no its not, but if your spending enough quality time with him, those times will come.
it happened for men and women all through the bible.
they saw real angels, heard real voices, god really does speak and show up in real ways.
but if we want what those people had, we should look at how they lived their lives.
most of the time, those men and women were men and women of great lifes unto god, great men and women of prayer and fasting unlike anything you see in the societies of today.
im not trying to sound harsh or proud, but truthfully...you cant go a day in your life without the presence of god, and still expect to walk in his power and reap his benefits.
you must stay connected to the vine.
i know this sounds like a work salvation thing,
but there is a battle being waged for our souls and our destinies.
and you will not win or survive laying down,the kingdom of heavon suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. you have to fight and give it all youve got and more than you ever have before!
the devil hates us so much, and he and his followers are literally grappeling with us in the spirit realm. but our weapons are not carnal, but they are prayer, fasting, the word.
if we are people who do not know what it is to pray everyday for hours sometimes, as even jesus had to, to fast sometimes, as even jesus had to, to know the word as even jesus had to, how do we expect to get the best things of god?
sorry, i get to talking about god and cant shut up, hehe.
but over in the book of numbers, miriam and aron rebbelled agaisnt moses and god struck miriam with leprosy.
and gods reply was, "why did you not think before you rebelled against a man like moses? moses speaks to me face to face, even sees my real form! becuase "he is faithful..."!"
if you want the best things from god, you can have them, but you must be willing to live that life. start praying more and longer than ever before, be honest and open with him about your feelings and have common conversation, and dwell in that secret place, it wont be long, youll hear from him.
