Other than that, trust me, I've not seen much on these pages that comes as a revelation in terms of "Creationism". I've been discussing creation and evolution since the early 1980's. I've seen almost all of it. I will admit, however, I am often surprised at the level of mendacity some Christians sink to in their battles against evolution or deep time. I have learned that some Christians are really little more than ravening wolves in sheeps clothing at times. And often it is little more than a tattered sheepskin rug they throw on their backs.
It must be tough being at the top, isn't it?

You WILL note that between you and I, I'm the only one who readily grants I could be in error on things I say here.

Just in case you forgot about how you refused to answer my question on your thread. :)

You conclude what you want, but if you have any questions pertaining to instant creation, I'll be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

Except I do have such a question and you are refusing to answer it.

How do you know the instant creation was creation out of nothing instead of creation out of something that already existed?

Explanations.

If you can tell me with a straight face that you haven't learned anything from creationism since coming here, I'm Genghis Khan.

How many people do you see say they enjoy discussion with us because they like to learn?

I've seen several.

I sure havent learnt anything from creationists regarding creationism that has been worth knowing.

Mostly I have seen ignorance about reality and lying from YEC:s.

Maybe AV doesn't know the Bible as well as he might:

"Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

Thanks for the backup! :)

I don't see how that's clear at all.

You don't need to see how clear it is.

You asked me how I knew instant creation was ex nihilo, instead of ex materia (like you know the difference), and leslie answered with an appropriate verse of Scripture.

That's how I know.

How you don't know, is your problem.

What in the world makes you think this is going to be acceptable to me?

I am asking for evidence, and the response you think I should be happy with is a quote from a book I don't believe in, and being told to just believe?

REALLY?

You can ask for evidence until the cows die.

No evidence was generated during the creation week.

So you admit there is no evidence that God created the universe ex nihilo instead of out of some pre-existing material, and yet you believe it anyway?

Why?

None's going to be presented while making excuses for it, you mean. There's a difference.

You got questions?

I got answers.

Let's do this.

(Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed herein are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of others.)

If you've already answered this, feel free to give me a page and post number...

How does god create something from nothing? I've been told many many times such things are impossible...

Whatever AV's response is, I suspect it will boil down to, "magic."

Well, if he gives an answer that has no frame of reference....like "he willed it into being"...I'm just going to ask the logical follow up of "how does one will things into existence"?

Creationists tend to act like it's such a tidy explanation...but in reality it leaves more questions than it answers.

According to Genesis 1, God spoke things into existence; the mechanics of which is beyond all science to explain.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

And frankly, I'm glad He didn't reveal His secret, aren't you?

After all, if creatio ex nihilo is a process that is scientifically doable, think what this technology could do in the wrong hands!

He didn't tell us how.

Tidy enough for me!

Questions are easy to ask, don'tcha think?

Accepting the answers takes maturity.
