There are three heavens: the sky, outer space, and Heaven proper. So you can touch heaven at 8150 feet? Or has heaven moved further away since then?
Wow! That's far out!Noah's father was born before Adam died. So they were both alive on earth for a short period of time.
yes.Did Abraham do a good thing when he set out with the intention to kill his son as a sacrifice?
YHWH sets all limits. What would have happened? No worries, YHWH / Adam/ did better than any husbandry known to mankind , and would have continued, and will again, YHWH'S WAY (with or without animals, etc) ....Was there a limit to how many animals could exist before the fall? What was going to happen as the Earth filled up with more and more immortal beasts?

The followers of Baal have no problem to sacrifice their son on the altar. Even today the abortion rate shows that people have no problem sacrificing their children to Baal. The clear message with Abraham was that he did not have to sacrifice his son on the alter, God would make the sacrifice for him. Also Abraham was fully convinced that God was going to raise Issac from the dead. Hebrews 11:19 "Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death." Heaven is going to be filled with children.Did Abraham do a good thing when he set out with the intention to kill his son as a sacrifice?
Notice the play on words here? The clear message with Abraham was that he did not have to sacrifice his son on the alter, God would make the sacrifice for him.
That makes more sense.
NOT good, but better than the other BY FAR.
LOL(can he 'fix' some traffic tickets?)
shalom !
For the Joy set before Him. Some would say exceedingly great JOY. Hebrew 12 2 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."Notice the play on words here?
Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
Centuries later, Jesus would fulfill that prophecy.
That is good?!?yes.
Did God curse the earth saying we needed to fight weeds with the sweat of our brows? If so, why do we do it from air conditioned tractor cabs? Did John Deere outsmart God?
Like all good religious stories, the story of Ahraham and Isaac can be looked at from various angles. Was Abraham testing God, seeing how far He would go, but with no real intention of actually killing Isaac? Was God testing Abraham, to see if he would actually go through with it? Some commentaries hold that if Abraham was really going to kill Isaac he failed God's test and note that God never spoke to Abraham again. That is good?!?
In my personal morality, setting out to kill one's son as a burnt sacrifice to God is wrong.
