Sadly, in the U.S. at any rate, not being able to force their religion upon others is often seen as "persecution" by some Christians.
Oh boy ... Is thread on a fast track to lockdown , or what?
Thank you!Nice to have answers on that topic rather than just endless snipping against the Bible as some might prefer. I like the premise for this thread!
Thank you very much!I admire your calm and class in your posts.
The premise is, indeed, good. However, that's as far as it goes. There are questions posed but there are no answers being given in return. Do you think that is because the OP cannot answer or because the OP refuses to answer?I like the premise for this thread!
Both.Do you think that is because the OP cannot answer or because the OP refuses to answer?

I'm kind of surprised it hasn't been. Two other threads have locked me out today. One of those was moved to the Xian only creationism board.
OP = Original Poster. Sometimes it is used to refer to Original Post, but that's not what it actually means.1. The OP is just a post... it is not interactive - you cannot ask it questions. Did you mean to say "the author of the OP" ??
at least 3500 years...Moses was first creationist writing down what happened. Although all other cultures seem to say similar things, but the farther from middle east the more telephoning they get it wrong. All cultures over ALL the earth say a global flood happened. ALL. Many cultures believe a sky god created humans, but the farther in distance, the more distorted the story gets. American indians have myth of global flood, but some believe we came from underground. Now there's a claim I nerver heard before--that right-wing Evangelical Protestantism originated 6000 years ago.
When you say ALL cultures have a global flood myth I think you probably mean ALL cultures except the ones that don't, right? While there are many cultures that have a flood myth, some of those are local floods. And many cultures do not have a flood myth at all.at least 3500 years...Moses was first creationist writing down what happened. I'm not sure why other cultures would have a global flood story in the first place, since they all perished in the Flood.nah since I was kid, loved science and mythology. All the mythologies, except norse, have global flood, you could include norse as ice age, though, cow licking existence into being.

But we all agree on one thing:Let's be honest, there aren't really any answers to questions about creationism because creationists have no way to test their ideas re: creationism. Which also seems to be why every creationist these days makes up their own version of it, often with blatant contradictions with other creationists.
You need to do a lot more research into cultural mythology. You even admit that Norse mythology doesn't realIy have a global flood story. Japan, for instance, has no flood story. I could name others, but just those examples demonstrate your claim to be bogus.nah since I was kid, loved science and mythology. Furthermore, the U.S. courts have ....
And yet we don't.But we all agree on one thing:
IN THE BEGINNING, GOD CREATED ...
Please don't make unsupported claims which you know to be false. It makes you sound like a dishonest poster. And if 100% consensus doesn't mean anything, then please don't throw dissensus at us like it means something.
I'm not one for putting much stock in what other countries wrote about something that occurred in the pages of the Bible. You need to do a lot more research into cultural mythology. You even admit that Norse mythology doesn't realIy have a global flood story. Japan, for instance, has no flood story. I could name others, but just those examples demonstrate your claim to be bogus.
Then show me a Christian who doesn't believe: IN THE BEGINNING, GOD CREATED ...Please don't make unsupported claims which you know to be false.
