Seriously though, I know there are some books on the Orthodox perspective of whether war is ever justifiable. Everytime I've tried to order them though, they're out of stock.

I would assume however though, that since we have "warrior-saints" like St. Alexander Nevsky, that it must be justified sometimes.

I believe in some forms of 'justifiable homicide' such as using force against a violent intruder. I am a registered gun owner for that purpose.

killing is wrong, but only through defense is it not a sin. This includes defending your country as well as your family, others, etc...but killing should be avoided.
