President Trump’s State of the Union speech once again was chock-full of stretched facts and dubious figures. Many of these claims have been fact-checked repeatedly, yet the president persists in using them. Here, in the order in which he made them, are nearly 30 statements by the president.

It's been a year since February 14, 2018. It was Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day. Students went to MSDHS in Parkland with heart-shaped candy and cards, and some with the ash on their forehead. And it should have been a sweet but instead it was irrevocably broken by hate when a teenager with legally purchased guns massacred innocents. There was an additional cruelty to the shooting be on the day of celebrating love. In the year since, 66 new gun control laws in 26 states and Washington DC have been passed. March for Our Lives was the third largest single-day protest in the history of the United States. I feel indescribably proud of the students who were afflicted by this heartbreak but refuse to be broken.
