There is a huge Philipino community here, anyway. Not sure all would speak Tagalog. Maybe some Ilocano.
If you look at the website for Immigration and Nationality Canada (type in a search engine) you'll see about the regulations for immigration.
Do you have a Tagalog Bible? this is a good way to improve one's knowledge of a language.
I had a friend who was a nurse who wanted to come to Canada for work, but she went to Dubai instead. more money.
Well, go for it.
I'm sure there are lots of Tagalog-speaking Christians in Dubai.

Yes the biggest eye opener in learning tagalog was the big overall language, but just about every island has their own little dialect. I am trying to learn the big one because it is the most common.
Let me clarify I had 3 separate ex's
One from Bohol
One from Davao
One from SanGen.
The one from davao is where I learned of the different dialects. I was trying to learn "I love you" in tagalog to say it to her daughter, only to find out her daughter spoke a entirely different dialect and I might as well have said it in english. lol
The problem with 3 filipino ex's is everyone thinks I'm trying to find another one by learning tagalog. I'm not worried about that right now.
thnx!!! il check dat out... so helpful... nkjv included???
Well I just looked and it only has 3.. not a lot.
Magandang Balita Bible
The revised version of the Magandang Balita Bible
and just Ang Bible.
These are the only tagalog bibles it has. For english bibles?? oh lordy. I can't begin to tell you. It has every variant you can think of. Most can be downloaded, but not all.
Tagalog is a kind of standard version of the language, isn't it?
So where is Magandang spoken? is it related to Tagalog, maybe?
I don't know if the differences between the dialects are like Uk english, american english, and austrailian english.. or if it is extremely different like farsi, dari, and pastun.
Interesting comparison.
I think that with Malay and Malay-related diaclects, the influence of the former colonial power's language has been significant. So with Bahasa Indonesia, it's similar to Malay but with Dutch spelling influence.
Seems like Tagalog has some Spanish origin words.
I don't know malay, but I wouldn't be surprised if tagalog's roots are in some sort of south east asian language long forgotten.
A lot of them are related, I think.
I used to get many an arm punches because I'd poke fun at how tagalog seemed to sound like a lot of clicking sounds because of the heavy emphasis on the K sound. lol Stupid tiny little bony filipina hands hurt!
