So yet another Terminator movie is definitely being made, and it will release either 08 or 09.

Basically I'm hoping they continue on from the end of T3, with the beginning of the human/machine war, and not have any more Terminators.

Skynet would not have developed enough to be able to create even the T-800 yet, and for there to be one sent back in time again would be redundant.

One disappointment is that Claire Danes and Nick Stahl(who I liked in T3) won't be coming back, I hate this because not only does it mean some bad actors might be chosen, but it disrupts the continuity of the films.

The are rumored to be casting Edward Furlong once again to the part of John Connor. He was the original, so at least that would be good. The guy they cast in the last movie didn't do very good at the part n my opinion. They turned the character into a little wuss rather than the hard headed kid like he was in the second.

Also heard at one point that they were going to get The Rock to play the new terminator, but I guess that was scrapped.

Frankly, the series needs to die. It's turning into one of those movie series that they ruin by continuously trying to extend it out.

Apparently they're planning a "second trilogy" with T4 being the start.

I think if this next trilogy is focused on the human/machine war and the rise of John Connor to leader of the human resistance, it could easily be good.

John being hard headed wouldn't have worked in T3, it was alright in the second one because he wasn't the main focus. In T3 he needed to be sympathetic. The transition wasn't completely unrealistic anyway.

T4 will most likely be crap, because it will have to follow T3, which was also crap. T3 never should have been made. What they should have done for the third one was have it take place in the future, where Connor leads the Human Resistance, and it would end when he sends Reese and the T-800 back in time. But no, they made T3 which is worse than some fan fictions I've read and now they have to have the T-850 kill Connor in the future on his own wife's orders, even though the war would have been won.
