The quality of the visual effects and sound are the best that I have seen to date. The storyline, on the other hand, seemed more appropriate for an episode of a TV show. I found nothing memorable about the movie, which isnt necessarily a bad thing for a movie these days, but especially bad for a Terminator movie. I think T3 was definitely more memorable. [Spoiler alert from here on]The plot twist, in regards to the signals, was clever and interesting, but it was done and over with within a minute.
One thing that I have to commend the producers on is the low shock factor of T4. I was pleasantly surprised that we were not exposed to people being ripped apart or squashed by the giant terminator. Most of the gore was hidden, and unless my memory is failing me, there was far and few in between. I dont remember seeing one dead body in the whole movie.
One thing that especially bothers is when they tried to sell Hollywoods mantra in the closing lines: you are the maker of your own destiny. I dont care what Hollywoods bible says; God makes destiny!
