Legend of the seeker!
Has been on 2 seasons?

I just found it today? Never seen anything about it.

I loved the first couple books in the series, never knew it was a series.

Anyone watch this series? Is it any good?

I must say, they have failed to get the word out.
Also, never had such a hard time finding what channel.

I saw one episode of this and was a bit disappointed. I'd probably watch more if it happened to be on at a time I was not busy and I had nothing else to do, but I wouldn't make a point out of seeing it.

It's very loosely based on the series. The plot of the episode I saw was well outside of the timeline of the books. It was basically a totally different plot that had the same characters and setting as the books.

The actess who played Kahlan was pretty good, but I didn't really like the guy who played Richard. And their Zedd has got to go.

A friend of mine who is also a fan of the book series feels pretty much the same as I do about the TV show.

For such a popular book series, you'd think it would have gotten a better screen adaptation. Maybe the TV right were sold before the sereis really took off?
Thats what I thought.
I am a big fan of NZ fantasy filming. Probably would have been better to set off the series with a movie, possibly a movie dealing with the books.
Then move into the otehr adventures.

Saturday at 4-5pm, is pretty busy.

My frustration was that they had already ran through the books I had read. But I guess they never attempted to show the story in the books?

Didn't see anyone I recognize, until the new season. Star trek star and someone else will be new.

Sounds like they invested everything into the movie rights to the books, but had little other money, to invest in a semi-famous star, or to invest in advertisment.

Can the Confessor touch anyone but the seeker, without having to kill them, like in the book, or is her powers more limited?

Sword of truth marathon.
Watched the first&second epsiode.

Wasn't as interesting as the book.
Probably won't watch again.

Confessor very limited in her power, and she was touching everyone in sight.
Which in the book, no one touched the confessor, because they would worship her
every move, after she touched them. One big part of the book was the COnfessor touching the Seeker. She touched him before he even accepted being the Seeker.

Shows not too bad if you can separate it from the books. Second season is a vast improvement over the first.

In Wizard's First Rule Kahlan didn't touch Richard with her power until after he defeated Rahl. Even after that, because Richard already loved her, he was immune to her touch.

Honestly, it's a really entertaining series by itself....I just get peeved when they do things like no invlude Warren in the Palace of the Prophets, or Nathan for that matter...........and how they made Nicci a brunette. That was annoying. But they have the right names of the characters and the stories ARE worth watching, and it helps support the author, so I love it!
