This seems to me to be excessive. It's quite a stretch to go from forehead temperature checking to implanted chips that could be used to hold a plethora of information including political, social, religious, and personal data. Of course, many people willingly supply this information to the government, financial institutions, credit card companies, etc. already.

It's quite a stretch to go from forehead temperature checking to implanted chips that could be used to hold a plethora of information including political, social, religious, and personal data. Of course, many people willingly supply this information to the government, financial institutions, credit card companies, etc. already.

I think there is a lot of data indicating it is happening. It is not widespread, but if the past is any indicator, technology spreads very quickly. Especially if there is a way to make money or control people.

Yes, that could happen. (You're talking to the King of forgetting stuff), but I'd still rather suffer the inconvenience of having to get a new one, than have a chip implanted in me. And it could be small, I never forget or lose my wedding ring.

It may take a generation for it to get more widespread and popular. Then they’ll probably start with prisons and the military etc.

If they were going to force it or if it gets popular there’s a lot of ifs in that sentence.

It may not even become a thing bc of tech becoming outdated awhile after it had been isolated in the body.
Then you have to think people can remove it blah blah blah.
